Is the pose in this screenshot just normal rest pose or an emote? It looks really good and natural, rather than just standing around. Does he run with it on his shoulder?

That's the natural pose if they have a two handed sword, and they also do run like that.
Now the only thing lacking is an innovative interface. :P
I hope you're joking.
Nevermind, you probably arent. I won't even bother.
That's the one complaint that drives me nuts. "Oh, that interface looks too much like WoW."
Well, that's because WoW's interface is one of the better ones available right now (mods notwithstanding).
So, yes, by all means copy it and tailor it to suit your own needs.
It's not quite enough like WoW, unfortunately. A lot of what made WoW's UI so nice was convenience. The little touches you don't even notice until they are unavailable in a similar interface. I hope they iron out the kinks with the UI and streamline it.
Well, some of the good things about WoW's interface is a lot of influences from custom UIs, and general tuning over the years. I've heard maybe you can do custom UIs in warhammer too though?
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

Yeah, although no one knows exactly how much. It's sort of a beta within a beta.
They dearly need WoW-level customization, though, because WAR's interface is easily the worst thing about the game.
you can change pretty much everything about the UI. You can resize and re-position everything you see on the screen
try looking at the UI options, it's pretty easy to setup
[€dit] In WAR that is
You know, except things like making the targeting system anything but a major pain in the ass for healers. Or making your pets not sit over the top of your buff window. Or making the quest tracker hide or align properly. Or getting rid of all the general bloat that's attached to each window.
Of all the things to not look to WoW for, the UI was the one they absolutely should have. WAR's current UI is less functional than WoW's was four years ago.
I'll see if I can dig up some pictures, if the damned game will let me log back on... I just logged to force AA/AS on in hardware so I could take some scenery pictures, anyway.
I should point out that these are all taken at 1680x1050, using the (lower-resolution) beta textures, with 8x AA and 8x AF forced in hardware.
Unfortunately, the game captures in not-so-great-quality JPEG.

Later I will post screens of some of the newer areas. They look a lot different than the oldest areas of the game, of which my character si standing in one in that capture.

That's how it's done. Some of the only screenshots of WAR that haven't made me think "... and people give out about how WoW looks?".

I don't remember having as many options in WoW, but hey, I haven't played it in forever either

We need not compensate for anything.
Edit: And anyway, why the hell would you wear large shoulder pads with a dress?

> turn on light
Good start to the day. Pity it's going to be the worst one of your life. The light is now on.
The white dress is hers.
Edit: And there is actually three s's in the name. Princessszelda.
Further Edit: Feel free to repost that capture into the names thread.

Seriously, that is such an awkward pose. And you are both standing like that.
Apparently you can put a pose on the actual mannequins in game. I think I need to get one of those...

mmmm, deliciously meaty arm
Didn't the 80s teach you anything?!
Pff... if anyone tells you that you can't become the Incredible Hulk just because you're not Bruce Banner, tell them to shove it.
OK, OK, I'll rephrase:
"And anyway, who the hell would wear large shoulder pads with a sleeveless dress?"
chair to Creation and then suplex the Void.
You're not as good at this as Pony, but keep on trying and someday you might reach his level of douchebaggery towards WoW.
Hah, those are really cute.
Not that I'd hold it up as some model of graphical wonder, but I have to admit, FFXI has aged well. It still looks pretty good.
Seriously, this thread needs more WAR scenery.
