Dammit, I can't go to the dinner.

My mom "Grounded me from thursday night"
Because I "Responded to her in a snotty tone".

Sorry guys, I wish I could make it.
    I really do.

Go say you're really sorry, she was completely right to react how she did, you were way out of line, ask her what would she like you to do to make it up to her, after you have made her a cup of tea/coffee, done the dishwasher, made her some toast, fetched her slippers. Yes, you've got it, work on her!

Don't waste the poor boy's time with your motherboy fantasies.

<Snifit-SpawnOfCthulhu>CuZZa: You don't think I've tried? My mom has no heart.
    <Snifit-SpawnOfCthulhu>She feels nothing.

I mean, he's the Spawn of Cthulhu! Either she slept with Cthulhu, or she is Cthulhu. Either way, the best he can hope for is that he will be on the winning side when the apocalypse arrives.

    I have a question:

I cannot be there until 7:30pm. Will this be a problem?

Nope. You show up when you show up. We'll have someone at the door at all times to check in those who can't make it exactly at 7 on the button.

No, its not officially blasphemous, cos you've not taken His name in vain! But it did take me a while to recognise the liturgy - comes of going to a crazy church, not an Anglican one!

te he =) Yeah, it's funny... I haven't been to church in a long time myself, but when I was a kid I was Catholic. I think I have the entire parts of the mass permanently embedded in my mind... in both spoken and sung form. If a priest dropped dead, I could fill in for him on the spot and no one would know. =)

OMG, so true. I was born into a very Catholic family (we're talking full up Catholic elementary, middle, high school, and college - the first year I wasn't restricted to some kind of uniform everyday was my first day at university) and mom made us go to church every Sunday (even when we got too old to force to go we got guilt tripped every time we didn't), and I still have the mass memorized in my head just because I couldn't get away from it! :P I know what it's like - hell, I could probably run thru it in my head along with all the movements and passers-by would think I was playing charades or something.

I am new here, but I was wondering what the dinner tally is so far? I didn't see it on the initial post nor the site for buying tickets. If you're still under 200, maybe knowing the current count will encourage a few others to go (like myself :-).

Well, since you leave the deadline so late, I'm sure a lot of people are like me and trying to sort out their schedule before committing. :) If you have 150 now I'm sure you'll break 200 with a last minute rush.

My crew isn't going to be arriving until after this dinner, so I'll be on my own arriving here likely. Everyone better be broadcasting their interests proudly so that I know which table to join. ;-)
