Moment of The Week 08-27-08

Millar continues to impress me with Old Man Logan. The whole issue was excellent (goddamn McNiven's pencils are awesome). However I'd have to put the best moment at
When Hawkeyes daughter decapitates the Kingpin.

JSA, ASM, and Xforce were also pretty awesome this week.

Question: Is Old Man Logan more or less like the other stuff Millar has written?

I didn't pick my books up today, getting them tomorrow.

However, my Moment of the Weak was finding out that James Jean is done with FABLES as of issue #81. :(

Which is some of his Daredevil, and Kick-Ass and 1985

When did Mark Millar do Daredevil? Far as I can recall its been Kevin Smith to Brian Michael Bendis to Ed Brubaker. May have been someone briefly between Smith and Bendis, but I wasnt following it back then.

That is pretty hardcore for a kid and fucking crazy. I love it.

Teen Titans had a damn cool twist too, they really need stop taking in pets. It never turns out well.

From what I can tell, no. Apparently, Wonder Girl is slightly less of a bitch, but everything else just got more so, so it evened out into continuing to be terribad

It still shows a lot of promise, but I was getting really tired of Wolverine talking about how he'll never fight again. Luckily, that might change by the next issue, though Spider-Bitch will still be a lame idea.

And the art's fantastic, at least.

"Tongue in cheek" is not the same as "ham-fisted".

I saw the relevant scans on scans_daily, since there's no way I'd risk paying actual money for Teen Titans these days, and I have to agree. Really, when are the Titans going to catch a break? You'd think the JLA would have stepped in by now and just made everyone go home.

Slight correction though; it was just Wonder Dog, not Rex the Wonder Dog. One's a mutt in a green cape, and one's the canine equivalent of Captain America.
