Eh, fuck it. Here's SJS from someone who lived through it.
Here's a taste of what it was for me:
2nd degree burns covering 45% of my body. Everything from the waist up. Those burns weren't just external either. My mouth, throat and eventually eyes were overcome.
Two weeks in ICU with nobody allowed to see you who wasn't dressed and wrapped to the nines. No unsterile contact because of the open skin.
Daily wrappings in sterile bandages.
One and a half weeks in a specialty burn unit at a different hospital (These people saved my life.)
Baths and skin peels..that, I can't even begin to describe to this day without dry heaving and tearing up.
Food from an IV tube because I couldn't swallow. Then when I could swallow, I couldn't taste because it was on my tongue.
Enough pain killers to drop a small horse.
Years of having to be covered up whenever in the sunlight because the skin was still too new to get a burn and it would flare up again.
Being able to take very very few antibiotics because it would flair up again (still to this day).
Having to rub myself in coco butter for 2 years to help the skin regrow (smelling like a chocolate chip isn't all bad).
All because I went on a field trip with summer camp, got a sunburn on a hazy day and it had the perfect reaction with a medicine I was taking for an ear infection.
Cool thing is that I came through it alright for the most part. It was dicey for a really long time, but I had a great hospital staff, especially at the burn unit. I got wheeled in from the ambulance bay and was greeted by "the team".
First words out of the one doc's mouth were "We had someone in here last week that looked way worse and he just walked out. You're going to be fine."
I don't have much visable scarring, which is incredible. There are a few things here and there, but that's about it. However, in my right cheek along the jaw line, the pigment never really came back. It tans up alright, but in cold weather when my face is red, there are a bunch of white splotches. I had a ski patrol guy hug my face at Mt. Snow one day because he thought I had frostbite. I had been outside for 5 minutes.
I had that a long time ago. Really really bad. Like, they brought in a priest to give me my last rights, kinda bad.

It's a reaction to a medication, one of the known side effects of which is SJS (another one is TEN, which I'm pretty sure it isn't, because your skin is supposed to start peeling off within hours in that one.)
Now, I caught it the day it started, so all I have right now are some spots on my arms and face. I ceased the medication immediately, and the fact that I had only taken one dose bodes well, according to the doctor. I don't think it's progressed any today, which is a good sign.
I checked in a mirror, and it looks like the spots on my face are fading, which I take to be a good sign. I'm really not very worried, but I'm keeping it all monitored, because I don't want to forget about it and suddenly have to rush to the emergency room. I will admit that every time I get any sort of itch my attention snaps to it immediately.
Best part is, tomorrow is my first day of classes.

Your doctor is going to give you lots of steroids if it starts to progress. Man, watch that shit like a hawk.
