canon has the f/1.8 for under 100, really great deal, an f/1.4 USM for about 300, and a f/1.2 pro line for like a grand and a half.

They used to make a 50mm f/1.0.
It goes for around $6k if you can find one. The one time I got to shoot with one was pretty cool, but the optics are just shit until about f/2.8.

They used to make a 50mm f/1.0.
It goes for around $6k if you can find one. The one time I got to shoot with one was pretty cool, but the optics are just shit until about f/2.8.
