    Man, Trent Reznor

    what a fffag

I dated this one girl who was obsessed over the dude.
She wanted me to grow my hair out and dye it black.
It eventually came down to me telling her one day that I'm too happy to be Trent, and he needs to get a tan.

Well, its just a train ride away. Does anyone know how long a train ride from NY to Boston is?

    No
But I may check out the train schedule around here, the station isn't far away
It'd be cheaper than flying and easier than driving
Shit looks like the station is right by the mall

There's a train that goes to Penn Station and then Boston. Perfect

According to Amtrak is a 4 hour train ride. With a snack car.

So going back and forth is out of the question.

    Here is Syracuse NY
Looks like I have a five hour ride to the city, another four to Boston
If you end up taking the train, we should hook up at Penn Station\

EDIT: Scratch that, I can cut off an hour and 120 bucks if I go through Albany

Yeah I was gonna say it's probably easier/cheaper to just go straight up rather than going and pullin off a checkmark.

It's like 138 bucks one way if I go to the city first
Versus 74 bucks one way to go through Albany

Man. Is 27 dollars worth it to cut down an hour in travel time? 62 bucks for regular trip which is actually 4 and a half hours in (for argument's sake) March. But the express is 3 and a half hours and costs 89.

    I used Amtrak
    August 30-Sept 3
Obviously that's going to change once we know the actual days and in two years but
Also I need to wait to find out where in Boston it is so I know what station to go to, for the example I used South Station

Last time I tried to plan to go to PAX two months in advance, and I wrecked my car, and couldn't afford to go anymore.

I figure the earlier I start planning, the better the chances I'll make it.

If you're not doing the actual driving, and it's only an hour (not, like, a day) I don't see a reason to pay a premium to get there that much faster.

Unless you could spend that hour busking in the streets, and make $50.

Hmm, I'll still not be drink-legal by the time this comes around. But, I guess I could always drink at Seattle PAX...

Boston. Eh. I guess it could work. I would have loved it to be here in NYC, but I also know it would have been impossible to be here.

    NYC is too expensive.

And Mike and Jerry have a sily grudge against the DC/Baltimore area (Otacon isn't a gaming convention. If they'd shown up to something where there weren't nothing but a bunch of annoying anime, I'm SURE they would have gotten a big turn-out.)

What about NYC is expensive? The key is to stay outside of the main island of Manhattan and eat there, then go into the convention.
