Man, guys. I hit the nail right on the head so hard. I called the month of the convention AND the venue. Source: Joystiq via BigDownload.
Well, that was fast. After revealing that the East Coast iteration of Penny Arcade Expo is heading to Boston in 2010, we now have more specific details care of BigDownload and PA director of sales Mike Fehlauer. In an interview with BigD, Fehlauer confirmed that the window is "late March 2010" and will be at John B Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, a venue with 193,000 square feet of exhibit space, roughly the same amount as this year's PAX. However, Fehlauer noted that the first PAX EC will not be planned as a huge vent first, with growth planned every year.
Penny Arcade will handle exhibitor booking, event planning and other content, while the grunt work (labor unions, hotels, etc.) will be done by Reed Exhibitions (New York Comic-Con). When asked if there are any potential conflicts with the Game Developers Conference, Fehlauer explained that they feel the audiences are disparate (industry vs. consumer) and both events are very different.

If they get more than 15,000 people in that building it is going to be crowded as fuck.
AB had somewhere around 13,000 on the two main floors, but even with opening up the bottom floor that's not much more space. They'll prolly grow in the BCC in a year's time anyway.
I knew it was gonna be at the Hynes. I attended my first and only anime convention at the Hynes almost two years ago. I was hanging out in the Prudential Center (which is connected to the Hynes) this past Wednesday night even. I will give you this advice EPAX10-goers, get a cheap hotel somewhere on the green line and commute to the Hynes via the world's oldest subway system. You won't be disappointed (probably infuriated though).
If I have an apartment in Boston I will put up a few forumers there myself. 'Deemer can call dibs on staying just so I can torture him with my heterosexuality.
If I am still in Boston I am totally opening my Brookline digs to swanky suarees. Cool kids only. No Homers.
Also a hotel room in Sheraton right next to the Hynes is not horrendous in any way especially if there is a con rate going. There's a two story cheap motel across from the Pru and the Christ Scientist Church that could be prolly bought out by the whole of SE. Fuck having a floor. How about a hotel.

Oh man, I totally support us pooling money and buying that building right out from under those looney Christian Scientists.
Awesome, a PAX in my own backyard. I can just hop on the T and *BAM!*, I'm there. And if it's definitely in late March, then it'll be just a few days before my birthday. One last huzzah before I hit the big three-o.

Look the sentiment is appreciated but I could at least get a butt squeeze out of this

Who's going to the SPXpo this year?
What's an Enforcer? That sounds like I thing that I am large and scary enough to do.
If they take applications for PAX East I want to apply for it
because I am big and scary
edit: what is their compensation?

as far as i know, Enforcers do it to feel good.
So yeah, I'll be 20 for EC PAX 2010, and 21 for West Coast PAX. Finally, to be ostracized by both groups!

that's silly to work for a for-profit organization for free.
I'm kind of scared of anyone over, say, 18, who wants authority just for its own sake.

Of course by 2010 I'll prolly have moved away, but hot damn fuck yes Boston
The question remains as to whether they will be in the Hynes or the BCC

Your birthday is in the middle of the week. Don't think they'd do that.

Late March 2010 will probably mean I'll be away on a co-op though.
