my cousin had an iguana that lived for like ten years and was like six feet long.
then it ate $1.83 in change.
What a ripoff.
There's so many ways to die for free.
not for that iguana. he was impervious to harm from outer sources. he was like an iguana highlander, only instead of decapitation he had to eat a bunch of change.

iguanas are pretty hardy little buggers on the outside, but eat the wrong thing and they die pretty quick
they have sensitive little stomachs
olivia's always eating household plants that are mildly toxic to her
she just gets the runs for a few days
it smells so fucking bad.
she is 5, so only half the age of what your cousin's was.
and from tip of her nose to tip of her tail, she's about my height, maybe a little shorter, i'd put her at around 5'5" 5'6"
her body itself is only about 2 feet long

i can't imagine iguanas actually needing that long of a tail for balance, given that they don't actually do anything perilous.

Because they are actually raptors in disguise, they will rise up on their hindlegs one day and start running people down in the street, obviously then they will need the tail for balance on those quick turns when hunting down a particularly speedy child.

in the wild they live in the jungle canopies eating fruit from the trees
also it stores fat
and it's used for fleeing predators, like most lizards, they have detachable tails that grow back (but stunted and crooked, olivia's never lost hers fortunately) if an enemy grabs their tail, which they are most likely to do since they have more tail than body, the tail can be instantly dropped by the iguana and will actually writhe around like it's struggling, giving the iguana a chance to escape to safety.
they are seriously cool critters.
Other than Soft Coated Terriers I'm kinda partial to Schnauzers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schnauzer
You can even order medium, large, or supersized!
The only problem with midgets is having to get a special toilet for them because they can't use the normal one and refuse to use a tray, it's pretty frustrating until they are old enough to be let outside.
I'd like to not violate any human rights if at all possible.
So a midget, then?
Aw snap.
No.
I mean something that will play with as not even my imaginary friends did. I hope dogs aren't the only option here because, you know, not exactly hypoallergenic.
EDIT: Oh ok, SE++ felt like being helpful today. EDIT2: Holy shit these dogs are expensive!
we have two dogs and they are both cheeky little things who keep escaping and like to eat bees
This is Bobby, the bigger of the two
Bobby is inspecting a bee so he can eat it. Perry (who is only little) is ignoring me.
My boyfriend really wants a ferret, though, and I wouldn't mind a snake or gecko (but they are hell of expensive, unless you go catch one, which probably has disastrous results)

There are some adorable dogs in this thread.
I've always wanted one of these - (caution arachnophobes)
Red Knee Mexican Tarantula
Stupid Australian laws prohibit anything exotic though.

I think I could benefit from having a pet.
It may be different for dogs, but I know people are allergic to a cat's saliva not it's fur.
Satans..... hints.....

And Airedale's are pretty cool dogs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airedale_Terrier
like it says, you may still be affected by a hypoallergenic dog, but most people are not, or are much less effected by them

so much energy in that girl
I would have a long time ago, but my Dad's allergic. Or did you mean the hypoallergenic ones are in the pound waiting for me to rescue them?
Dude, I'm going to kidnap your dog.
Why you crying?
Brought it on yourself showing off that ball of of perfect cuteness.

How could you not love labradoodles?
