    All but one were Sony actually, and it was the non-Sony one (it was a Sharp, I think) that lasted longest.
    Maybe I just sucked at minidisc or something.

    I've had a feeling that it was one of those movies. Like The Goonies. I didn't watch The Goonies or Princess Bride until I was in my twenties so maybe that's it.

    i have this amazing ability to just take my brain and drop it back to elementary school levels
    probably comes from hanging out with younger siblings my entire life

    anyway, it allows me to still enjoy those old kid shows and movies

    Kids adventure movies were different back then. The adventures were smaller than the adult ones and I think that the kids watching liked that more, it's more relatable than saving the world, like when you'd go out and play in the woods or something. I mean The Goonies don't even leave their own town. I just felt like saying that.
