I don't see what's so bad about a chat thread compared to any other thread. So why don't we just delete the whole forum? I mean, the whole thing is a liability. It's not like any of you guys are getting paid to moderate and whatnot, and for the most part you all seem to hate your jobs.
Seriously though, the chat thread serves as a good stupid filter, collecting stupid shit posts so that they don't land on good on-topic threads.

Ummm WTF no? The chat thread is open to all. We had like 10 new peopel come in in that past few months. A girl even! We just call people on their stupidity when they show it.

I could understand this coming from one of the admins, or even one of the GT mods, but why you? Myself, as a new user, entered the chat thread (hell, even created the chat thread) as just that, a new user. A long time lurker, sure. They gave me respect with upmost sincerity. Took my opinion into account.
What are they opposed to? To put it simply, stupidity. Listen, I don't want my fucking forums taken over by XBOX IS BETTERRRRR! threads. People have an opinion, and most of the time if they can back it up they can stay (and are respected). So Jesus Christ.

I don't see how we are scaring anyone away with our chat threads. I also don't see how our forums affect PA's reputation.

Besides, most everything in the Chat Threads isn't serious.
Instead of "Imigrating to Canada is bad for economy, you should stay in America and support the fight." and other crap like that, we've got "I think that instead of imigrating to Canada, we should all pay Virgin lots of money so we can live on the moon, but then we'd have to bring Gorgatron repellant."

The mods did decide together, but Munkus is the one that acted as soon as he was "greenlighted". He's the one that decided to stop our threads as soon as possible, and not give us the explanation until later. He is the one who is refusing to justify his actions.

I read the thread, I was just commenting on the fact that it was munkus who actually took action. The word gungho comes to mind. Maybe I'm just blowing off smoke here, but this whole thing just seems odd
I think its obvious that the chat thread posters aren't troublemakers. If we were such a problem G&T would have been flooded with a plethora of chat threads to rebel. Instead nothing rebellous happened and the complaint was taken to the proper place to be discussed.

If only that would work. Hopefully a mod with half a fucking brain will read this and realise what a dumb decision it was, and bring chat threads back.
This is the worst decision since Social Devastation. This is the kind of decision that a fucking Nazi would make. Are the mods deliberately trying to get users to leave the forums? Seriously, this is total bullshit, and I hope one of the saner mods sees the light and realises what a fucking mistake this is, and remedies it.
Also, why did Munkus have to come in and dropt he hammer? Couldn't one of the G&T mods do it?
