I do in fact think it makes a difference. Aesthetic differeces matter. And it goes both ways.

I'd rather play a female Chosen than a male Chosen for instance. I don't mind the Greenskins, because they're apparently pretty much genderless. If they look more masculine than feminine, it doesn't matter.
Also, please skip the whole "Teh Internet is SERIOUS BUSINESS you guyz!" strawman. We're here to discuss what we like and dislike about the game, so lay off the memes.
