Mouth breathing in public is sometimes considered to be less socially acceptable or attractive than nose breathing, as mouth breathers can appear to have a somewhat "slack jawed" look, and mouth breathing can cause or exacerbate bad breath. Consequently, the term "mouth breather" may be used in a pejorative sense for someone lacking in hygiene or intelligence.
1985 Maclean's (Nexis) 17 June 56 One wonders..if some nervous vice-Presidents at the CBC are not looking over their shoulders at some of the mouth-breathers and wall-climbers in the new Conservative caucus. 1998 Esquire July 117/1 Three dateless chuckleheads in mullet cutsshort on top, shoulder length behind; mouth breathers, unibrows, stooges.
Actually, I think my sleep schedule runs fairly close to American time right now.
I wanted to like this strip, but it reminded me too much of Eastern Standard Tribe which I am now embarrassed to have on my bookshelf and I really should just throw it in the recycling.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
Yeah, but I think the stereotype is more targeted towards minority races in America, though. Asian Americans, for example. But, to be honest, I think there's a stereotype about everybody not being able to drive, except for white males. Women can't drive, Asians can't drive, Mexican's can't drive, Indians can't drive...
I include white males less than twenty-five or so in the stereotype.
OH MAN THIS CAR CAN GO LIKE MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED MILES PER HOUR AND I WOULDN’T WANT TO WASTE THAT
I wouldn’t say all or even most do it, but between my friends and going to college and living by a college, I believe there are a lot of young men who behave very foolishly with motor vehicles.

You mean buying a honda civic and taking off your muffler?
I thought the Civic was supposed to be an Asian's car.

Really? Not where I'm from. Which is to say DC area.

It's true. There are.
I just get tired of hearing people equate driving fast with driving poorly.

I like the dudes who are in their 20s, but still amused by being able to make their car go VROOOM VROOM really loud
I got a training license permit when I was 22, but then I moved to Stockholm a month later and never really got to start practice driving. And here the infrastructure is so good that I get around just fine with subway and buses.

So what you're saying is, your driving skills have Stockholm Syndrome.

It’s shorthand and represents the most visible aspect. Every day probably ten people spin out on the intersection by my house and promptly go down the (short) road at fifty miles an hour. If I can drive fast, clearly I should.

I know. Driving fast on residential streets is insane.
I just get frustrated seeing cops sitting in speed traps on the side of eight or ten-lane freeways in the middle of the hills when it seems like I never see somebody get pulled over for failing to yield to traffic on a left turn or making an unsafe lane change.
It's just a personal issue of mine.

So, theoretically, one could construct shotgun shells filled with sleep?

Well, except for when there's a hole in the muffler.
A lot of people who aren't minorities can't drive. Though you don't live in America anyway, so it doesn't really apply to you.
edit: The stereotypes, that is.
*BOOM*
