There are not really that many useful combinations of 6 items when they all have to be different.
There are three choice items. Rest users use Chesto, dragons can carry Yache, hilarious antics with Salacs and so forth.
Take a standard team of Choice/Choice/Life Orb/Leftovers/Leftovers/Lum or something. I like it so much more if you have to use something different on one of those leftovers, or drop the lum from dragonite to give it yache or whatever the hell.
Yeah the something different for the leftovers is just going to be one of those health berries or a brightpowder or something. It is not like having 2 lums instead of a chesto and a lum makes things that much [strike]more[/strike]less exciting.

I think you just don't like leftovers.
Well yes, I did already admit this. I don't like leftovers, and I rather like limiting them to 1.
I have a lot of cool non-tank pokemon that require leftovers to be at least somewhat effective.
Limiting leftovers to 1 forces me to be LESS creative with my teams as I always have to have at least 2 choice users, and possibly one guy holding a useless shit item like sitrus berry or shell bell or bleaahhhhh.

woo 6-0 sweep!
Alright, I need to recap here.
Switches to pert, gets a critical hit and dies in the first move of the game.
Zard gets frozen by ice punch.
I had some good predictions in the first attempt, but the full match had lady luck smiling on me.

Well, I like leftovers since it actually keeps me alive in a sandstorm. I wouldn't mind item clause if people didn't abuse sandstream and stall until things faint. To me that's more obnoxious than spamming leftovers.
All limiting leftovers does is decrease the effectiveness of tank strategies.
I daresay I think you are RACIST against tank-pokemon.
I've had more than three battles where two tanks stare each other down with leftovers until one dies to struggle. Sometimes I wish I could build an effective team with no tanks, so I could win FAST or lose FAST as to not waste my day watching pokemon recover.

I hate stall tactics in general.
OH BOY LET'S SWITCH AGAIN AND TANK OH MY DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING FOR THE NEXT HOUR NO SIR

Now that there's no Item Clause I can use Cacturne, Slowbro and Torkoal on the same team without giving Slowbro a Sitrus Berry (SHIT) and Cacturne a Big Root (SHIIIIIIT).
Is that so goddamn wrong? No, no it isn't.
Oh, and teams of bulky sweepers require multiple leftovers too! Think of the bulky sweepers consarn it!

Turning off items in smash is also boring and dumb.
Munkus we are not even talking about smash brothers here.
Removing item clause allows a wider range of viable strategies. The only downside is that y'all are whiners who don't like those strategies! If you are so helpless and don't have time to wait around, the run button is right on the bottom of the screen.
Anyway, you'll notice that I haven't forced anyone in this tournament to abide by Item Clause, despite being allowed to do so. I don't like it, but I'll use whatever rules everyone else is going with.
Until everyone starts busting out Celebis, at which time I'll stop playing entirely.

Look, I hate anybody who runs multiple leftovers teams. THere are far too many bulky cocks that you can field and toss leftovers on them all as they stall and make the game not ufn.

So Speed, you're my next opponent? Is your connection any better? I can do Shoddy if necessary but I certainly wouldn't prefer it.
If I used shoddy I would definitely like to give my pokemon perfects IVs and thats means some of there EVs would be redistributed. Plus Venomoth certainly wouldn't want to stay docile.
Entering my pokemon as is on Shoddy would look so silly.
PS I don't understand this thread title at all! Is that still a pokemon reference?

What about how we've tacitly agreed to allow the catchable un-uber legendaries in Platinum once it's come out in the US?
I run multiple leftovers, but they're all on Pokemon that are slow but powerful that aren't going to be sweeping. It also helps me deal with my Sand Stream.

I've been able to connect fairly consistently today, so we should be good. Let me get a team together and I'll see you online.
Pretty sure the reference is to one of the video games you can see a kid playing in RBY.
Man I feel bad about this win. I thought for sure you had an electric attack to fry Gyarados with. I guess there's not a lot to say than to keep at it.
Just not my tournament, I guess. Got out-skilled by Chen, and swept under the rug. Good match.

I did, but I was sure you were going to switch out to Jolteon and grab it for Volt Absorb, or switch out for Swampert. I wanted to use something that might have done some damage either way instead of no damage if you switched. My fault, really- I'm the one who SHOULD have listened to my gut and used the electric move.

Multiple leftovers does not mean stall! it means inreased viability for less cookie-cutter teams!

I didn't think we agreed on it either, we just put it as an option.
I still don't agree regardless.

Likewise. I will not play with anyone fielding any legendaries. Just throwing that out there.
I mean are you shitting me? Legendaries? We have a veritable plethora of reasons not to use those fuckers.

I don't like legendaries...but I don't like 90% of the Pokemon people actually use.
