You think that it is over, just because I am dead.

It's not over.

The games have just begun.

Edit: Urgh, I have center tags on the damn thing and it previews it as centered, but nooooooo.

Oh hey, someone looked at it.

It doesn't look like they can afford that from the impression the site creator gives. I can also only picture it in something similar to Portal where they focus more on the story and keep it at just a couple hours.

I hope they don't because they'd probably just make it creepy. And when they went to the black room with the weird noises, I was really scared. And I wouldn't be able to play the game.

I think it has a lot of promise for entertaining things to do gameplay-wise. And if they included a simple level designer or something, it could be pretty entertaining for a while. And imagine fun things like invisible multiplayer soccer in an invisible maze!

    ---

I have no ideas how difficult the splash animations would actually be, but fixing the balls wouldn't take much besides a simple texture/some shading, maybe tweak the trajectory a bit or something, and then change up the sound effects.

    ---

And I would link to the web site here, so people would actually check it out because I thought it was pretty neat, but I'm lazy.

Goddammit I hate Saw and the clones it's created.

    Namely Hostel.

But Saw is worse. Mainly because it's just as predictable as most horror movies are but instead of the female surviving after killing the bad guy it's the bad guy who survives. But in a way it's worse because the victims never have a chance in hell and so really the only thing you get is a bunch of boring scenes with dumb clueless nuts running around til their eventual death.

And now it's spawned a reality show called "Scream Queens" where a bunch of women compete for a cameo appearance in Saw VI.

    Whee.

But hey, how about Beverly Hills Chihuahua!

Actually, the twists at the end of the movies are done quite well, Hostel has nothing to do with Saw and was written by Eli Roth before the first was released, and only in Saw 3 were some of the traps uvwinable.

But hey, I don't think I could change your mind.

    !

It's so awful and people call it a "horror" movie. No. It's just bit of gore with a ridiculous plot. That is not a twist ending, that is just hackneyed writing.

I admit to bias since Jigsaw is just so adept at avoiding police whether it be in the first one where he was caught and escaped in a horribly stupid fashion or the beginning of the second with the lame ass traps there.

And in the third one with the dumbass husband who never thought to question what the hell the device around his wife's neck was before killing the only guy who knew.

You had to sit down but before that you had taunt boxer straps around your salves and your ass showing from the shorts falling some while you bent over trying to get them off.

The whole point of the 3rd movie was that the husband was a rage-filled d-bag and only thought about himself.

Not to mention that the other things you mentioned are straight up opinion.

I just read an article linked from Kotaku about 'mature' games (and how mature does not mean sex & violence).

And then Saw reminds me of how much horror films bug me.

The victims in most horror do something (no matter how trivial) to 'deserve' death. Like the Scream thing of 'don't have sex'.

I just want horror without gore, where bad stuff happens to good people. Because it does, all the time, and that's actually scary.

My problem with scary movies is that in most cases they just aren't scary and end up being too predictable. I usually have to go browse a lot of paranormal stories to get myself feeling all scared.

4chan has a great section for that sort of stuff, believe it or not.

It's gotten so that movies push the envelope just for the sake of pushing the envelope.

Much fun dancing tonight; also some of my friends ended up dancing with some weird old fat guy who had no footwork, and would do nothing but go from spin to spin with no break inbetween. Fun to watch, but I'm told the actual dancing was no fun.

I will admit that scary video games scare the piss out of me much more so than movies. For me it's

    video games>literature>movies

Literature makes me paranoid. Movies can be a little tense and are damn fun/entertaining but with video games i'm sleeping with the lights on clutching a baseball bat hoping to make it til morning.

I thought the first Saw was pretty much shit. That's why I find it incredibly odd that I've enjoyed them since then. I guess maybe I just got past the idea that they were going to have some neat twist or actual horror in them, and realized they were just pretty much torture porn popcorn movies.

    Saw 2
takes place over 2 timelines, but most people (including the cops in the movie) think it's all happening at once and to a lesser extent, the chick from the first movie is in on it.

    Saw 3
is about a grieving father who must save those around him. Most people don't realize that the woman with the shotgun collar keeping Jigsaw alive is married to the man. Not to mention that the whole basis of the 3rd film was to test his accomplice over the man & wife.

    Saw 4
The big reveal of Saw 4 is that its timeline runs concurrent with that of Saw 3, whereas the opening scene of the movie makes you think it is a sequel, when in fact, it isn't.
