Hey, I was having a conversation and the topic of arcade fighting games came up. Now I can't remember what the name of this game is called. But here's what I am sure of...
It was made by Sega, it had all the Fighting Vipers characters in it along with a few other franchise characters and even a Daytona rally car as a selectable fighter.
However, I can't find any leads other than that. Any ideas?
i used to play this game at a kid-themed arcade back when i was little. this was probably in the mid 90s. I think I was around 10. It may have been a neogeo game. It was side scrolling fighter thing kind of like Final Fight, but with grimy, blocky mecha. Kind of a side-scrolling mecha fighter. In my memory, it was brutal as hell.
I don't remember anything else. I think it might have been in a double cabinent, but I can't remember the other game.
The one I played was also in a tiny cabinent, that was like 4 or 5 feet tall, but that might have been a custom cabinent, since this was a kid-focused arcade.
that might be it. I'm not sure. I remember it being grimier and the mechs being squarer, the levels bleaker looking and not so bright, but that might just be my memory. It was 15 years ago or so.o_O

Looking around I found a game called Armoured Warriors which sounds like it might fit the bill.
It's about half way down this page. http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/finalfightclones/finalfightclones3.htm

It's clearly onscure. The title even says so.
I've never heard of it, but I live in a city where the arcades could afford putting anything less than an A title cabinet.
One of my dreams is to own a cabinet with that game in it. I will pay any price.
