I just wish it didn't take zombies so long to go down when they die to the hunting rifle. You have to just trust that it's a one-shot kill and keep aiming without real confirmation. It's especially annoying when it's your teammate with the rifle though and you really can't tell if the zombies are dead yet or not.
That is why you shoot it with more bullets. Also, not sure, but using console commands, can you do a versus match with all controlled by human players?

no...you can only have 4 people on a server at the moment from what i can tell
I want to give mapping a stab, but I'm totally dry on inspiration and I don't want to make yet another small ravaged city street deal. Suggestions?
airport terminal?
Pretty sure that's supposed to be in the game already.

The facehuggers want to play with you in the AvP LP. Facehuggers also want you to check out the TF2 cards here. View the in-progress RE mansion recreation for L4D here.

Bleak highway with mazes of ruined cars and plenty of open spaces for zombies to rush in and get you, maybe some craggy hills alongside to offer infected ambush points; a few buildings as well, for supplies; final rush for freedom occurs when the highway becomes a bridge over a river and you just dash while the horde comes at you.
On that note, bridge out of the city would be a good one.

Chapter one: Going from passenger accommodations towards the midship
Chapter two: midships recreational areas: ballroom, workout area, pool, etc etc
Chapter three: topside decks
Chapter four: fighting you way to the bridge to call for help
Chapter five: turns out the Navy is already on the scene, and just torpedoed the cruise ship, get out before it sinks! (how?) (possibly not doable, but it'd be awesome to deal with not only zombies, but the ship starting to list and other crazy stuff, probably stick to the topside deck)

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
does anyone have any suggestions for wraparound headphone/microphone combos? i may attempt to attach my current headphones to this helmet but if that doesn't work i'll need some wraparounds instead...
ZOMG, I GOT IT. We must get Asiina to knit us red beanies with two pockets to hold beer koozies.

You are right, an abandoned theme park has a sort of demented atmosphere to it, doesn't it?
Dude that is exactly the picture I was thinking about when I said that. Chernobyl itself would also be a great map (radiation would enhance to zombie experience as the setting sort of makes sense)

This is the best gif ever.
Also I wish my game looked like that.

With zombies parachuting onto the wings and smashing their way inside!
A theme park has potential.

edit: SirToons for titlist '08.
A well lit area with plenty of infected-inaccessible high ground, no obstructions, and plenty of ammo and weapons.

Christians vs. zombie lions.
Or the map from Shotgun Sunrise (LC has been dicking around with this already, I know that for sure).
I'd still go with some kind of scientific thing. Lots of stainless steel and linoleum.
Golf course. Bonus if you include driving range.

The last saferoom would be the bridge, where you'd be able to seize control and drive it somewhere safe.

It says pretty clearly that right now, the demo is for pre-orders only.

Stalker is always my first inspiration when I think about mapmaking. Such awesome atmosphere.
