Login Glitches?

David ByrneDavid Byrne Registered User, ClubPA regular
I've noticed for a while that, when I log out, all the folders are normally colored as they would when I'm not logged in. But when I look in the "Who is Online" area my name is still up there. The wierd part is that it doesn't say "log out David Byrne". It's been like that for a couple of weeks now, sometimes for hours on end. Is this a MySQL glitch or something?

The Who is Online list updates every 5 minutes. You can log out and still show up there until it re-updates.

The Who is Online area I know for a fact to have a delay associated with it. I believe it's in the range of five minutes. The folder colouring I couldn't guess at, maybe that's a browser caching issue. I'd guess that'd be a likely cause.

Damnit, why'd you have to go and type that while I was replying?

i've got a new one... maybe...

when i try to log in, it says my username is inactive or the password i entered is wrong. keeps doing it, even though i slowly type them in letter by letter just to make sure. however, at the fifth try, it works. it's done this four times now. any idea?

Since the website came back online, when I log in, I check the "Log me on automatically each visit" box, but every time I close my browser it makes me log in again.

    Using XP/Firefox.

That still relies on cookies. What are your settings with regards to that?

They're still enabled, but I think I cleared them when the website was down.

I still have to log in every time I visit the forums, but if I click "Log in to check your private messages" it logs me in without having to enter my name/password.
