[Miniphalla] Ye Olde Fox & Phalla - RESULT - UNDERAGE VICTORY, FOX CLOSED FOREVER

Ye Olde Fox & Phalla

Ah, England. Comfortable, green, luscious England.

The England of Shakespeare, of Churchill, of James Bond and Bridget Jones. And most of all, the England of the ‘Village Pub’.

Welcome to the Fox & Phalla, a warm cosy pub next to the cricket field in a lovely little stereotypical English village. Standing for generations, passed down from father to son, the Fox & Phalla has been the drinking establishment of choice for the local residents for centuries – but now a dark shadow has been cast over the pub.

The village is slowly turning into a commuter town – obnoxious city workers and their spoiled-brat children are moving into the village in their droves, changing the old ways. These city-types spend all week at work, neglecting their horrid little offspring – and so their horrid little offspring are invading the Fox & Phalla. Every night another underage drinker seems to be exposed – but there are more – lots more.

The owner, Scrumpy Jack and his chirpy wife Scrumpy Jill, are at the end of their tether – they’ve called in local policeman Davey McJim to find, and remove, the underage drinkers, by any means.

Also, taking matters into their own hands – every night the regular patrons of the Fox & Phalla have decided to vote for one of their number to be barred from the pub forever, to get rid of the scourge threatening their valuable drinking time and slow descent into depression.

Can the drunken, lonely fools of the Fox & Phalla defeat the wily, underage drinkers from the city?

*****

This is a MiniPhalla. It's sort of like a Phalla only on a smaller scale.

All of the standard rules apply. In particular, screen captures cannot be used to "prove" anything and if you're talking with someone and they don't know it's you (your PA name), that's anonymous contact and is against these rules. Dead players may talk amongst themselves if they wish but living players may not communicate with the dead.

Each night, all players will vote for the Regular who should be barred. Please make your votes in Bold Red. Retractions are mandatory and should be made in Bold Lime. If you have any questions, please PM Micro (me) or post for clarification in the thread in Bold Orange. Also, you cannot directly quote or forward any PM you receive from me during the game (unless I give you permission) but you can do whatever you want with any PM you receive from another player.

Please remember to forward the location of any ProBoards (or similar tools) to me. Thank you.

I'm an idiot and live in the UK - so days will begin and end slightly earlier than you lot are perhaps used to.

This game will start on Tuesday, November 11th, meaning Day 1 will end on Wednesday. Voting will close daily at Midnight, GMT (which I believe is EST +5).

Interested players should !SIGN UP. Roles will be randomly assigned.

1. Orange Soda - villager, voted off
2. Doxa - villager, killed in a fit of rage and despondency

EVERYONE will get the villager pm, along with (if appropriate) a role pm.

The villager win condition is to get rid of all the underage drinkers in the Fox & Phalla.

Any win conditions in a role pm supercede the villager win condition.

An important question - is the pub brewery owned?

    NEVER!!!!

It does, however, have a fine range of home-brewed ales, fermented slowly in Scrumpy Jack's tin bath in his outhouse.

    Do they do lock-ins

    Yes, made from pewter.

The pub stays open until Scrumpy Jack himself passes out.

The problem is, though, that the police are starting to pay more attention now, because of all the underage drinking. If you want to preserve this way of life, sign up, and rid us of all the kids.

No worries, I believe that Micro will do his best to make it a genuine pub experience. =)=)

Our roleplaying, however, will no doubt be stereotypical and hilarious. But that's the way it ought to be. =) lol

Man, I really want to play in this game but I don't know if I can do 3 games at once.

Granted, I once was in three games while running one, but I don't really want to repeat the experience.

As long as we stay fairly close to Coronation Street atmosphere, I should be okay for this mini. Otherwise, this could get messy for me.

Man, I have no idea why my wife watches that stuff :(

    So...no. :P

That's okay El Skid, I never have either. I've heard of them in stories, but that's about it.

    One story, actually.

The very start of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

So, based on that, I'm ready to go! =)

    First, we haven't started yet.

Second, this is Britain we're talking about. You've had your share of fops and dandies through the centuries, if you catch my drift. :winky:

I'm looking forward to this...GMT time zone, set in a proper pub with proper beer (can we pretend it's before the smoking ban?)...

I bet there's even the obligatory old guy and his dog.

    Bliss!
