The thing that you also have to remember about Japanese games is that for the most part, we only get the ultra-big-budget, incredibly mainstream Japanese games. It's sort of like judging all American cinema based only on Hollywood blockbusters and shitty parody movies.

Of course, there's also lots of smaller Japanese games that wouldn't do well here just because American and Japanese taste are so incredibly different, even before taking actual quality into account.

And I guess Japan doesn't really make FPS games (probably the motion sickness thing)

They can't design controls for horror games to save their lives either.

Can I just say that I've been doing the whole =/= representing "does not equal" for a while around work and with friends and always get "WTF is that?". Thank you good sir for perpuating this as mainstream.

One friend even made me make her a macro in Word for this. It is now just that awesome.

    Unsung hero eve-

    no not quite.

I don't know boolean strings or whatever. I just appropriated it from math.

So != represents "does not equal"?

!= is a boolean operator in C and its derived languages, that returns "true" if the value on the left is not equal to the value on the right, and false if the values are the same.

    In other words, yes.

I have a question that can only go here.

I seem to remember Pony telling a story where he punched a guy in the face at a bar because he liked Lolita by Nabokov. Did this happen or am I just imagining things?

Did Pony tell the story, or did the events of the story actually happen?

    Those are two different answers.

Yeah I imagine he told it.

No see because the person liked Lolita he has a thing for little girls and he probably just came back from raping like five thousand underage girls in an underground fighting tournament

Man, in Lolita it's not about wanting to rape kids, because he still wants to fuck her when she's an adult.

The whole point of lolita was that it was about his bizzare, sensual, tender infatuation with a little girl. That's what made it so fuckin' creepy, that he wasn't a horrible rapist, but rather a love-stricken creepy ass humbert humbert.

And there is no such thing as a physically attractive pornstar because they are emotionally stunted, walking venereal diseases with their vag lips a-flappin' in the wind

There are some pornstars who are attractive when not doing porn. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't recognize them when not completely naked or wearing one of those silly fishnet body stockings

Sasha Grey would probably look more normal to me if she didn't have that eye shadow all over her eyes all the time.
