My mom called me into the living room earlier, because she needed help working the VCR because she couldn't get it to record.
I think this is the 50th time I've had to remind her that a VCR has channels, and doesn't immediately start showing you what's on TV if it isn't set right. Every single time this comes up, she stares at me like it's the first time she's being told this.
After that, and having to explain how to put it on channel three (ugh), it went into the timer settings when she tried telling it to record. I told her to hit the menu button, which she naturally could not find, so I had to find it for her and then everything was peachy.
My Mom is the most generous person I've ever known, and I love her, but dear lord she is so completely retarded with anything digital.
Fuck they don't even have a release date for it . Have no idea whats going to happen to it, but with the people that are working on it I doubt it'll just get canceled.

Last thing I ever did for my parents was convert them from FAT32 to NTFS because they'd used an XP upgrade from 98 and my mom was a nervous wreck until the process hit 100%
