We don't have an ETA. We would love to get it in for 3.1 but if I said it will be in 3.1 and it isn't, then players get mad. It's easier if we just say "soon."
Eeeeexcept they said at blizzcon that it would be in "the first major content patch", which just happens to be (by the devs' own account) 3.1, the Ulduar patch.

So maybe it'll be then, maybe it won't. They're probably covering their asses in a "just in case it doesn't make it in" scenario, but it's interesting that it went from a relatively sure thing to a "maybe" thing since Blizzcon.

oh WHAT THE FUCK! You DID say it was coming in 3.1 you fucking motherfuckers.

I do agree that a lot of instances are very easy, a lot of people in my guild hit 80 and cleared several the same day. The only ones I thought were even remotely challenging was Halls of Lightning, but once we gear up it'll be trivial as well.

Old Kingdom was fun, but our mage was super pissed at the Faceless boss because he couldn't handle insanity with his spec, and he knew a respec would make it super easy, he eventually did, and proceeded to rape it.

Some of the Heroics are pretty challenging, although the bosses usually just have a gimmick or two to figure out. I find them a lot more rewarding than the vanilla versions which we just zerged through. Now if the fucking badge vendors weren't scattered throughout the land I would be pleased indeed.

That would be well and good if they hadn't already committed to it, which they most certainly did. You'll rarely find me calling them out for anything. Most people bitch about Blizzard over misunderstandings and they throw things back in their face "over and over" again like retarded savages eg: TO THE GROUND. This is not the same.

It really sucks shit if you have absolutely no ranged attack, like a warrior. I can't attack a tank at all if it's moving, even if I'm right in the center of it. Riding shotgun on tanks is a waste, can't attack the turrets, can't even attack the doors. Aside from running with seaforium or engineering bombs and actually driving the tanks/turrets, I'm all but useless in the fight.

Still though, I love the place. A hell of a lot more fun than AV ever was, and damn faster too. This is the game I'll play when I need to farm up honor.

I ran it a lot of times, so I know it very well (although I haven't been in a long while). I'm also a master at Sunken Temple, Blackrock depths and upper and lower spire. Those are some of my favorite instances too.

I know the subject was just covered, but I admit I do miss those longer, more dangerous instances. It's starting to feel like we're a step or two away from getting door prize loot when we enter an instance.

DM is as close to the perfect instance that Blizzard ever achieved. If you want to do a BRD style massive run, you can do it. At the same time you can break it into small chunks. It's a damn shame so little of the player base got to run it on a consistant basis.

I'm assuming the escape the worgen quest is alliance only since I completed that questline and never did it Horde side.

That's somewhat disapointing, although alliance dosen't get an equivalent to the Pit of Conquest so I guess it evens out.

You have to help an alliance guy get back to the camp. You're both on horseback and you're throwing flaming lanterns at werewolves chasing you. It is perhaps the most awesome escort quest of all time. If more escort quests were like this, they wouldn't fall into the "types of quest I fucking hate" category so much.

Also Strat is another instance, that like BRD is designed to be done in pieces over seperate runs. Of course it's really only 2 wings as opposed to the 3 or 4 that is BRD, but it's still the exact same concept, so I dont get why people dont bitch anywhere near as much about Strat as they do about BRD.

Dire Maul has 3 portals but it's still one very big instance, the library in the center connects to both the North and West wings and most importantly the interior layout of the instances is large and non-linear and can be done through multiple routes.

Scarlet Monastery is just a hallway with mobs and then a boss at the end.

    I actually agree with you

I like***ed* BRD a lot but what i got sick of in BC was the whole idea of *pack* pulls

I think Heroic Shattered Halls summed up everything i hated about new and old instance design

    Pull 7 mobs, CC 2-3, tank 4... W T F?

    That just screams stupidity

It got really fun doing those instances covered in top epic gear and just aoeing them all down, but back when you had to grab a tank and healer who died every 2 pulls it made it kind of stupid.

Thats just me, i might be wrong

While you can access both through either portals, you can also access the one you want via their own portals.

It's completely different than BRD which has 1 entrance and a billion different wings.

Also you could clear live and ud strat in a reasonable amount of time, both being the same level mobs. BRD mobs fluctuate ~10 levels and takes you about 15 times longer to clear than all of strat. So lame.

Also, why the fuck are we still arguing about this? My god let's move on.

I love Dire Maul so much, such an under appreciated instance. Also one of my most memorable moments was getting my Quel'Serrar there, and then piggybacking Ony with a big raid guild to forge it.

DM was just located in BFE so no one ever wanted to go. Such a waste of such a great instance.
