It certainly seems like there's no vig, or if there is, there's some sort of condition that has to be met for the kill to go off. The thing I can't figure out is how maximus escaped the kill. Something like that being triggered by the rest of us swearing seems as likely as anything, because I can't imagine that there would be an evil power to manipulate the vote in a game without or with a less active vig. That would just be OP.
Also, does anyone else find it interesting that last night the seering of a good word was public, while the supposed finding of Maximus as a bad word wasn't? It's just something that caught my eye.
Also, since we need a second place, The_Reflection is an endless font of profanity and evil.
I didn't choose the dagon as my seering for last night, I seered someone else. Whoever did the seer outing had it as their power, as micro mentioned, when they died.
If the bad guys have an ability to veto the vote like that, given what has happened there is always this possibility:
Mr. Defecation and Maximus are both bad words. Mr. D was getting bandwagonned on the first day. Instead of losing a bad word to the vote day 1, he could claim seer. This would postpone his death a day.
Then the next day, he "seers" an ally and outs him to the thread. We of course bandwagon that person. They veto it. Day 3 now, and we have no bad words nailed.
Even if we get Maximus today, they traded a day 1 death for a day 3 death AND put themselves into a position of trust.
All it required was a vote veto power in their control. And we clearly know that they have that.
If I was a bad word, this is exactly what I would have done. We did a very similar exchange in Venture Bros as the mafia in that one.
Um, so, like, can I have a guard please? And I guess all the specials should contact me. Instant mouthpiece, huzzah!
Also, don't forget there is some kind of power associated with using the words real 'names'. I tried to warn you guys of that, and Maxi avoided the kill. So just an FYI going forward.

!Maximus for a second effort ... this morning I didn't post with any swear words in it considering we think that could be a root cause of their power, or at least that's what we are thinking
Last night had not gone well. The words had found Maximus, supposedly a very naughty word. They didn't want to wait around, they didn't want to hesitate.
"What does the paper say?"
"Maximus"
"Really?"
"Yes"
And so Maximus was burned. To a cinder.
Bye bye Maximus, bye bye FUCK.
WildPanthA05 was wandering along, minding his own business. And out of the corner of his eye he saw something coming towards his face, a white something spurting straight towards his eyes. He closed his eyes, and the inevitable gushing force splashed all over him.
It was wite-out.
He was being erased. No one would ever know how wonderful he was, no one would ever know what to call that thing they use to control the pointer on their computer. Tom would no longer have a friend to chase.
As the wite-out submerged him into oblivion he just sat there, accepting, noticably glum.

Well then! Haven't we been clever?! We've found out that naughty word, burned him out of use, and we've taken one more step t'ward the total eradication of profanity.

Wouldn't the whole, no kills thing, maybe be dictated by game mechanics considering both days the number of kills has been relatively small?
