with quick timer events which everyone likes to pretend is a new feature when it has been around since laserdisc games. I wish theyd make a new otogi instead, this just looks too derivative/boring.
it's called ninja blade and even the logo resembles gaiden.

It's like they tried to make the guy look as different from Hayabusa as possible and succeeded in not only that but also making him look like some guy cosplaying as a ninja. They don't have to make him look like Hayabusa, there are plenty of cool unconventional ninja designs like Shinobi. This guy looks like he wouldn't make the cut in Tenchu.
The rest of it just too strongly resembles NG for me to care. A Ninja fighting ugly monsters inbetween cutscenes? I have that game, and it serves its purpose well enough.

Form the videos I've seen, visually it looks interesting, but on a gameplay level looks piss poor. I fear that Norihiko Hibino's awesome music will go wasted in this game.
Well, I for one think this game looks awesome, but then I love Dragon's Lair. And I love character action games.
So really, this game looks made for me. But I agree that the design seems a little off compared to what sells well today. Also, the title is kind of generic.

Thanks for pics and a title. Now I know what's being talked about.
Anyways.
One of my favorite features of Ninja Gaiden was the lack of QTE. I despise them with every fibre of my being. I remember hearing about this game before and being interested. QTE is killling that. I like to sit back and enjoy over the top ninja shenanigans in cutscenes, not stare at the bottom right corner waiting to button mash.
Like Heavenly Sword. Great cutscenes, but I missed half of them because I didn't dare look away from the screen corner for fear of missing a crucial cue.

I think some games use them well, some don't. I thought they were entertaining for the most part in Shenmue because they advanced the plot and were paced properly instead of in every cutscene. Shenmue definitely overdid the QTE's but they were more fun in that game than RE.
Guys, I just played the demo for this, and it's pretty awesome! It's like a combination of the Future Ninja of Ninja Gaiden and the Ninja-Turtles-like Totally Awesome mentality of Devil May Cry. You need to play the demo through to the end to know exactly what I mean. The boss fight drags on a bit, but the way you kill him is so over the top that I have done a complete 180 on my attitude about this game.

I think you mean great OP or GREATEST OP.
Is today opposite day or something?
Considering your user image I would have expected you to get that one. :P

@gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!
I should probably get on that.

Heretic!
Everyone should play that game. Well, either that or I-Ninja, which was surprisingly fun.
I beat Black on master ninja
I just don't have as much free time now
No. Just no.
