And so my undead warlock was named Hatbox, the ghost who got fired by Disney and had to get a second job with the Forsaken. I was always a little proud of that name, even if no one ever got the reference.

I named my DK Mortuary and was quite surprised to see it had not been taken!

Sure. You can name it anything you want. From "Bob", to "10110010111001", to "This warhorse is the most awesomesauce warhorse anyone will ever come across. He's better than your warhorse. Your warhorse is stupid too."
Of course, you'll have to let people know what you named him, or they'll have no way to find out.
So its not an actual in game name?
Of course, unless you already know what the mount is called, there's no way for you to know without being told. You cannot target someone's mount.
i.e.
For some people, your "Tawny Windrider" is just a gargoyle or a bat or whatever until someone tells them what it's actually called.

Something else I've noticed... DPS isn't as important as the actual damage per hit of the weapon for a DK. If you could find a (theoretical of course) sword/axe that's only 90 DPS, but hit's once every twenty seconds, you'd be killer.
