Then there's another, beefier type that'll have 100k+ hp, and are generally not soloable unless you're a paladin/shaman/druid/hunter/warlock/prot warrior/death knight/mage (if the mob is slowable/rootable)
OH, there's plenty that will fuck you up bad even as those classes.
The last chick in the New Hearthglen line, for instance, has a seal that allows her to ignore all armor on some (read "many") hits. She will fuck you good.
The other one I mentioned before is the same.
Yes... but she is very kitable.

So... I'm about to hit 70 for the first time, and aside from being excited about moving on to the new WotLK zones, I'm starting to explore mounts, flying mounts, etc...
As a 70 Death Knight, can anyone recommend me some cool/relatively easy to get mounts that I should start looking at? I've been out of the loop on high level content for so long that I never really looked into the whole deal, and now I don't even know where to start. What rep do I grind? How much gold do I need? I don't know these things!!
Death Knights have access to the easiest to get Flying mount in the game. Use your death gate, look to your right talk to the Vendor spend 875g you now have a flying mount that will go 60% speed and 280% speed. Otherwise you are buying a Windrider/Gryphon in Shadowmoon Valley. edit: I might be wrong, you may have to take the transport thing down one level and find the mount vendor there.
I got my flying at 70 because I wanted to be able to do the Shattrath cooking dailies. But that is only because I wanted the recipes I could get from them.

Um, you know we've got to fly all the way to Shadowmoon to get the training right?
I mean, DK flying mounts take either the same amount of time (if you just buy the standard Gryphon) or MORE time and money (if you get the Doom Chicken).
I bought the doom chicken because I never even considered any other option of mount, and right after I realized that I just paid about 800g more than I would have as any other class.
Anyone know if the DK only flyer is effected by Rep? Doesn't matter for me since I bought mine yesterday but it could be worth trying to grind out the Ebon Blade to exalted then get it.

it is affected by rep discounts for knights of the ebon blade, yes.
He can look, but chances are slim. Personally, on my realm, only blue was on the AH the last I looked.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

I was in Hellfire Peninsula on my death knight last night and decided to send all the dropped meat I got to my priest so I could get some cooked food. I saw I could make Kibler's Bits and that they added +20 to strength and stamina, so I quickly made them and sent them to my death knight. Right after I sent them, I realized it was only useful for pets.
Today I realized my death knight has a zombie pet. I was kind of surprised that Kibler's Bits work on it.
I'm really liking how they are actually building up Arthas. The fact I bumped into him and saw him and interacted with him at level 70 was just awesome.

It's nice because you see him in some way in pretty much every zone. I even let him kill me in Howling Fjord.
I thought the cut scene kind of sucked also, and I agree they should have done what they usually do. But we're not talking quest here, we're talking Blizzard cinematics. Really watching the ugly human character model's face pseudo-lip synch was just painful. It could have been awesome if they gave me a full on legit cinematic. As it was I was just completely focused on how dumb it looked to have antiquated models shown "speaking" up close.
(And seriously human males have the dumbest looking faces in the game.)

That's why we cover it up with lots of bushy facial hair!

That's more then made up for by how awesome everyone else in the cutscene looks.

Disclaimer: I have the purple one on my mage.
I think a lot of death knights try to farm the Baron's mount.
HOLY CRAP!
Getting 250k exp per hour at level 34... This was after about an hour:
how does this work?

You can buy your riding skill from the guy in Dalaran if you get a portal there.
edit: My brother with his mage waited until 77 to get his flying skill. Bought all 3 at the same time.

How do you recruit yourself? Or how do you get such massive xp... ?

Spend that farming time doing dailies and then just pay 800-1000g for it on the AH.
It beats killing the same mob for 3+ days

My Backloggery
Pluto was a planet and I'll never forget
I hope not, because I couldn't explain how I'm farming herbalism at the moment if they were.
I was pretty impressed they got a in-engine cutscene to work, I hope we see more of it.
Though they really need to invest in some facial animation features and lip-synching code if they're gonna make them common.
That would be rad.
You mean "cool, thxdude, here's your reward and oh yeah I have a followup quest"?
Because yeah I can see why that's so much better than actually letting us see the fight.
Yeah, it is. There's very few spawns that drop it relative to the other whelps.
Why do you hate awesomeness?
I liked the way they did it in Wrathgate better than the DK zone.
Did you want it to be some kind of escort thing, or what?

High Apothocary Putress looks fucking rad.
