In May 2006, U.S. Representative Lamar Smith introduced H.R.5439, a bill aimed at addressing the issue of orphan works by providing limitations of remedies in cases in which the copyright holder cannot be located. However this bill was withdrawn in September 2006.

Subsequently in March 2008, a hearing was made in the US house of representatives aimed at reintroducing a broadly similar bill. And on April 24th, the bill was officially introduced to congress.

The 2006 version was struck down, but I can't see anything suggesting that the 2008 version has.

Okay, I am gonna say that I should be banned or jailed for not finishing the WIP of my Secret Santa yet. I am a horrible person. I am putting so much effort into it that it's stupid, so it's taking forever and making me not want to finish it. I really wish I wasn't such a lame perfectionist.

In the meantime, I have my new badass PC. It is glorious.

Nobody in California uses the term expressway (and possible freeway as well) apparently, and when I did a friend of mine mocked the term in old-timey "world of tomorrow" voice.

I live in LA and I use freeway all the time. But I more often refer to each one by it's number name. "Gonna hit the 118 to the 5 to the 170 to the 101 to the 110. If I leave now it'll be three hours, so I'll leave in two hours and so that it'll only take one hour to drive there."

    I generally say highway.

I don't really know if there's regional considerations there.

Of course, 495 around DC is just the beltway.

In Chicago I hear highway and expressway mostly.
I also didn't realize until college that people not from this area think that a plain old, hand tossed pizza is a 'deep dish'. No. Deep dish pizzas require eating utensils.

At times I buy a Sprite/7up copy called 'Freeway Lemon'

Deepdish is amazing. Am I correct in being under the assumption that New York pizza is most certainly not deepdish in any way?

New York pizza is more true to authentic Italian Pizza. Thin crust is king, thick toppings.

New York style is hands down the best kind of pizza ever. Deep dish can suck it. I mean it's alright in a pinch but it just does not compare to NY style.

I've lived in soCal all my life and call them freeways all the time (when not referring to the number). I was always under the impression that the freeways were the big giant things (the 5, the 10, huge generally raised 3-4 lane roadways, offramps and onramps) and highways were the smaller variants (still multiple lane and "cruising" speed, but generally not raised and connected to the streets directly, like imperial highway or pacific coast highway).

Bah! I'm in another drawing dry spell. Its got me all bugaboo. It seems like this happens every time I become exceedingly stressed, anxious, and/or angry. Its strange the way it works. My only method of venting becomes null whenever I need to vent the most. Perhaps my brain has become retarded.
