And the MD asked me to learn to play and see about bringing a Banjo for a performance next month. Well luckily my Dad has 3, one of which I'll be borrowing for a performance, one that is "The worst banjo I'll ever play" according to him that I'll be learning on.
I'm looking forwards to it.
Though I'm feeling really hickish sitting in Central PA learning how to play Banjo
Unemployment is pretty shitty in this state. Half your weekly pay up to 326 a week. Enough so that you get to drain your savings slowly instead of all at once to pay bills.
But I suppose the point is to assist you in living while you search for employment, not to keep you totally afloat, or no one would do anything.
So I graduated back in June last year and despite having a fucking unbelievably good degree I have not got any decent job offers. To keep myself occupied I got a job in a supermarket but it is shit and I want to quit but I don't know if I'm just being a lazy dick about it and so am dithering over my decsion. Shit sucks.

And it looks like Circuit City is closing for good
I'm glad I got out of that shit hole when I did
And got my back pay before they went bankrupt
I've actually enjoyed my job at circuit city. It was by no means a permanent career choice, but the job itself is far from the worst of retail jobs. Wal-mart was a hell of a lot worse. Gunna be sad to leave a lot of the co-workers behind too. Some good people there.

I'm sad for the people at the Santa Barbara store I used to work at
Those were good people and the store consistently made money
But everyone at the Culver City store can go to Hell
I'm hoping to go to the liquidation sales this weekend.
You should probably do it soon. We had people parked on the grass today, it was worse than Black Friday.
And despite what the banners say, only cords and shit are 30% off. The minimum is 10%, and most everything important will be that low. I'd recommend making friends with the person at the register though. We had several employees today making price adjustments for like 50% and 70% when they were supposed to be 10%. Management hates the liquidator, who wasn't even in the store, so nothing happened to them.
You're going to be waiting for a while to haggle. For the first week or two everything is going to be a set percent as they try to squeeze every cent. Only near the end for all the crappy stuff will they be willing to haggle.
Also it's important to note that the 4 liquidation companies only bought our merchandise. So don't go in expecting to buy light fixtures or cash registers or shelves if anyone wants that sort of thing.
But if you want PC games get your butt over there soon as possible. Circuit City has always had ridiculous hidden markdowns of PC games older than 6 or so months. I bought my Guild Wars Nightfall collector's edition for 15 dollars. They'll only be getting cheaper too.

RE-HE-HEEEEAAALLLY.
More popular stores aren't going to have anything with great pricing. but if you go hunting you might find something awesome. Don't trust a pricetag, ask a free associate to check the price for you. It will probably be cheaper. They only ever do it for PC games though, you won't see many markdowns beyond the 10% in the console section.
You're also looking for the less popular titles. Shit like guild wars or the witcher. Stuff that isn't widly known. Also collector's editions. My store has had one of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic now for maybe 2 years? It's down to like 20 bucks but I could never convince myself to spend extra money for a game I wasn't terribly interested in.
Even 10% might not be terrible. There's a lot of console games I'd like to pick up that pretty much never drop in price ever, so if I could get 10% off on them it'd be better than nothing.
Well for consoles you have to keep in mind a lot of stores are going to have shitty stock because they sold out during christmas and never got any replacements. You might find a decently priced 360 though.
the nearest one isn't really what you might call "near"

I need to get into a job where I'm paid to hike, go camping, smoke weed and then run some statistical analysis.

What? We paid you. Oh, sure, you claim that you didn't get your check, but we gave it to you. What do you mean, you don't usually look in the garbage bin out back in a trashbag full of shredded office paper for your check? That's where official policy dictates we put it.

It's that .01% that keeps the tip in the game, baby.

How about Conservation Scientist? Although, I assume the smoking weed thing is not going to be included in the listed duties.
