I really like 28 Days Later.
I also found The Gift to be quite suspenseful, possibly because the theater watched it in was having trouble with the sound system and it was doing wierd shit to the soundtrack, which was fucking with my head a bit.
The Killer Condom is a good 'horror' movie to watch if you'd rather laugh than get scared.

blair witch was terrible and the birds still unnerves the shit out of me
Quarantine was a lot better than I thought it would be. Makes me want to see the original spanish version.
I saw the original version (it's called REC if anyone cares) but I never saw Quarantine. REC was kind of lame and predictable throughout except for a handful of "oh fuck" moments. But the final scene fucked with me something fierce. I had to turn all the lights on and pace back and forth a bit just to psych myself up in order to finish watching.
The newer Amityville Horror with Ryan Reynolds was absolutely terrible. The best part of the movie is all the gratuitous glistening man-boobs and I'm not even that gay.

More like the Statement of Randolph Carter, right? Woooooo.
I remember seeing this back when I was lurking about the forums. I think it was in a D&D thread. People were going apeshit over it, along with that spelunking story, and they were frantically trying to track down a picture of an abandoned shed.

Would you believe that is the entirety of the last three Horror threads in D&D?
The original "invasion of the body snachers" scared the shit out of me as a kid and still freaks me out. I refuse to watch it to this day.
Creepy flick.
Of course for the next year or 2 after watching it at age 8 my parents found it highly amusing to have conversations around me and with me about alien seed pods and how well they would fit in kids closets and under my bed.
So what, serial killer movies are golden because they're either hilarious or eerie.

One movie I remember scaring the holy shit out of me was the puppet master series, when I was wee. Then I went back and watched them again and just giggled.
The most recent (and one I saw with my good pals Nads and Penguin Incarnate) one that I loved was Zodiac. That shit was tight. Long, but you don't even realize it.

Are you kidding me
Event Horizon might be one of the goofiest fuckin' movies I've ever seen
It could have been a lot better if it had just been that one guy goin' crazy instead of the ship having a portal to a hell dimension or whatever
Also less cheesy makeup

Pretty fun stuff. I seem to remember there being more though.
Also, why the fuck isn't anyone mentioning Jacob's Ladder and Session 9?
First one's kind of a SPOILER and might be NSFW.

Scariest movie I've ever seen was The Exorcist.
It didnt hit me until the night after, and I was so scared I couldnt move from my bed.
So I called Space Satan and we talked about how scary it was.
The killer unsurprisingly worked in a sewage treatment plant.

I didn't see the second one, but I think I was mostly bored during the first one
but I saw Darkness Falls in the theater with 4 other people and we thought it was hilarious

What I loved about that is the "Tooth Fairy" screams like a teenage girl, and our theater was filled with them. It was a hilariously fun experience.
When's that come out on DVD?
That shed and the story were unrelated
But yeah, siliconenhanced was full of shit most of the time, but he knew how to tell a fuckin' story
I gotta see if I can track it down
Oh shit I thought the shed went with the story he told.
I liked al the connected blogs and stuff
the typo, the jail bars, the crappy sentence structure
Creepy flick.

love my parents...the assholes.
Tagline's got me curious
just the idea of it is unsettling
they could be anywhere!
