This is pretty cool-hostiles are running all through our space right now to get to Delve, so it's possible to get fights if we react fast enough. Sadly I missed a few fights today, one killed 6 RA dreads in scalding pass, another killed 2 dreads/3 carriers of TCF, which looks like they got caught cynoing towards delve as well. Too bad the -a- killboard is such a piece of crap and anytime something fun happens it crashes :I
I thought about resubbing just to get in on the ground floor of the chaos, but I can't remember the username my last character was on and I sure as hell don't want to do the tutorial missions again.

We don't really know what BoB's long term response is going to be. Their membership is in utter panic right now and frantically evaccing assets from their space, which is a circus since they don't have jumpbridges or cynogen nets anymore. There has been a little resistance in Delve but for the most part the BoB corps are in complete chaos. There's been some word of AAA grabbing up DICE members and Molle flying with RAT. So far their leadership's strategy has been to pray for the GMs to save them.

I'm sorry... what? Just the other day we had a 1000+ man battle against 16 alliances. Our old home of south is being destroyed at an amazingly fast speed, stations are being camped 23/7 and we are loosing sov in tons of systems daily, and Kenny already has Sov1 of most if not all of detroid. Making it sound like goonswarm just won the game and is now sitting on the throne of eve is a very far overstatement.
It is just hilarious regardless of how it will end up. It would have been absolutely foolish and far too subtle to simply tower a little bit while trying to hold all of our space. We have never done things with concern for being reckless.
Holding so much space so spread out was killing our participation. We all know it. I was getting sick of flying back and forth for hours defending one tower here, then an hour flight to defend something on the other end. I can't be the only one.
The sov thing in delve was obviously going to happen, as the towers would automatically start claiming sov as soon as they did join a new alliance. But to waste this opportunity would have been an even greater shame.
It is still amazing to bring our cap fleets in anywhere, rather than bs fleet reinforcing everything under fighter spam and constant titan dd's.

Don't get me wrong, I love the new decision. While it might by risky, it is going to be nonstop action from here on out (hopefully we can get a station soon so no more paying for repairs) and is going to make the game for the first time since... well forever... fun, but to put it in the light of all is good in the goon world and we are just sitting by idle waiting for a new foe to appear is very wrong.
I also love this new decision. It's dangerous, it's fun. And I'm having a SHITTON of fun. I warped my rigged mammoth into a hostile gang last night with no WCS, only cargo expander IIs (GG CHARLES MY SCOUT!). Sat on the other side of the gate in my 30 sec cloak while the hostile gang jumped and warped all around me.
When my cloak dropped, I hit the warp to station button while shitting my pants. The 3 guys left at the gate didn't have a point and I got away in structure IN MY MAMMOTH FROM A HAC GANG.
I haven't had this much nailbiting fun in awhile. Fleet fights are pretty boring and Kenny is not liking losing their space at all.
I joined the militia to learn some pvp yesterday... I've lost 4 punishers and an egg already! I have to haul some more to increase the stock...

After the next expansion, and barring any changes to how they are implementing the new player experience, new characters will start with around 25ish k sp (but get a 100% bonus to skill training until they hit 1,600,000 sp or so)

Who is KenZoku and how did they take all of Delve.
Kenzoku is the new alliance formed by the corps that used to be in BoB, hence they have had towers claiming Sovreignty in Delve for a long time. The dissolution of BoB caused a reset on Sovreignty, disabling all their Jump bridges and Cyno jammers, making it much much easier for invaders, but, the clock is ticking and they will have the Jump bridges and Cyno Jammers back, eventually. Hopefully not before Goon+ally towers contest.

So you peeps be good to talk to about this for advice. Looking for long term ship here and can't decide what to aim for.
I love missles. Nothing beats the big badda boom, but if I need to go for turrets I'm caldari and hybrids work I guess even though I know nothing about blaster and rail gun ranges.
Any who...What would you guys suggest for a long term boat. I'm currently aiming towards the Blackhawk and its cert path would have me ready for assualt and heavy assualt boats also it seems or should I go for a Battleship and aim for the golem?
Trying to plan out certs for long term so when I'm ready to join real fights I'll be able to do more than absorb shots for the goon squad hehe.

The most correct answer here is, it depends. I will give you my generic advice in the absence of anything specific from you on what exactly you like to do in Eve. Long term boat should be the T2 Sniper for whatever race you're training, unless you're Minmatar, in which case you should cross-train for T2 Amarr sniping. A fully T2 reimbursable Rokh sounds like it would be best for you. Missiles are pretty worthless outside of PvE, as they were heavily nerfed recently. The problem with missiles is that your target can warp out before the missiles reach them, their damage is mediocre even if they hit, and guns are instant, high alpha damage. T2 Snipers are usually the most effective ships in current Eve fleet warfare. Small gang wise, you may also want to consider going for the Falcon, one of the best, most useful HACs for smallish gangs. Falcons are actually pretty awesome for everything except trying to solo.
Blackhawk? Do you mean Nighthawk, the command ship? Command ships are only good for sitting at a pos giving out fleet bonuses on a character that has maxed out Leadership skills. And maybe it's good for small gangs hopping around.
Don't ever bring a golem on a fleet op or even try to deliberately use it in PvP. Just, don't.
tl;dr Fly a blackbird or drake while training for the rokh.

You'll probably also see Raven's with lasers and Armageddon's with railguns. Just because the pubbies use something doesn't make it a great idea.
If everyone is using a frigate, they are very useful. If they are pubbie, they won't know the difference anyway.
