ARE YOU READY FOR THE FIRST KING OF PHALLAS TOURNAMENT?
Rifling through your mail, you come across a strange card. All that’s printed on it is the above, and on the reverse of it, an address; the city hall of a place called Southtown. Funny, the name almost seems… familiar. That’s it – maybe you read it somewhere, maybe you saw a documentary, maybe some of your shadier friends have mentioned it, but Southtown’s filled to the brim with organised crime. You’re certain that you’ve received the invitation because of your martial arts skills. If you do go to Southtown, you’d better be prepared for a fight… but you can handle that, right? This is a mini-phalla.
It’s a smaller version of a phalla.
What’s a phalla? Click here
Each night, you will have to vote to remove a player who you think might be connected to Southtown’s crime syndicate. Vote in bolded red, like this; !vote
. Retractions are not necessary.
Each game day will last 24 hours, and end at 0000 (midnight) GMT - 1600 PST, 1900 EST.But what’s the twist?
A pretty big one! This phalla contains a way to fight other players. Since all the players have entered into a martial arts tournament, everyone will get the chance to experience this at least once!
Each player has three moves – one L
ange, one M
ange, and one S
ange. Long range beats short, is weak to mid, and has no effect against another long attack. Mid range beats long range, is weak to short, and has no effect against another mid. Short range beats mid range, is weak to long, and has no effect against another short range. Each player will have a specific strength value, and so each night will be able to choose a certain number of moves to use.
Losing a fight in the tournament will not eliminate you from the phalla, but
you can choose to challenge another player to a bare-knuckle fight – whoever loses a bare-knuckle fight will
be hospitalised in-game and removed from the phalla! To challenge another player to a bare-knuckle fight, use cyan – as an example, challenge Thorgot!
These extra fights will take place alongside the tournament fights, and the person you are challenging must accept your challenge.
Under certain circumstances you might fight a double battle. In these cases, you still only need to send in one set of moves – this movelist will be used against both opponents. Co-ordinate with your teammate for maximum effectiveness!
In the event of a draw, both players will go through in the tournament, and neither player will (normally
) be hospitalised in a bare-knuckle fight.I don’t get it – I need an example!
Well, since you asked so nicely.
Let’s take a fight between two characters from Fatal Fury’s sister series, the King of Fighters; Kyo vs. Iori.
Kyo is strength 5, and so is Iori, and so they both PM me 5 attacks.
Kyo uses the following;
So the fight works out as –
LR vs MR (Iori +1)
MR vs LR (Kyo +1)
SR vs SR (draw)
SR vs LR (Iori +1)
LR vs SR (Kyo +1)
Kyo and Iori both have 2 points, and the match is a draw.

Yes. If somebody at strength 4 fights somebody at strength 6, the strength 4 is going to have their work cut out for them. The average strength will be 5.
If players with uneven strengths fight, does the stronger of the two just get auto-wins for each point over?
You can have as many battles per day as you like. However - and this is a pretty serious addition to the rules - your opponent must accept the challenge in cyan. This also means that you can submit different movesets for each fight you are in, although it's by no means necessary
Also, how many battles can we fight in a day? I mean - if I challenge someone who has already been challenged, does my challenge then fail? Also, can you change challenges before vote close, or once submitted is it stuck? Also, do our move-lists count for attack and defence (if we challenge, and are challenged) or can we submit different sets?
Each fighter in a team battle uses their own strength to submit moves. So if one team has strength 5 and 6, and the other 4 and 6, each one submits the appropriate number of moves.
When battling in doubles, do you add your strength and your partner's strength together to see how many moves you submit, or do you average them, or use the highest, or... or... or..?
The order of actions is manipulative abilities ---> defense ----> aggressive ---- > fights.
Also, do we know the order of actions? Do challenge fights or vig/evil kills happen before tournament fights?
Also, fair warning to all; SNK boss syndrome might be in full effect for this phalla.
PM me the list of moves. The winner of a tournament fight will be shown on the next day's tournament sheet, and the loser of a bare-knuckle fight will be hospitalised that night. The advantage of winning a bare-knuckle fight is, obviously, survival; there's no advantage to winning an individual tournament fight, but winning the tournament will net you a helpful bonus.2v1 fights can happen, but the tournament organisers will be doing their best to make things... fair.
I have a question, When we fight, do we send you the list of moves, and then who won is shown in the narration, or is it all private? And what is the advantage of winning a fight?
The person who did send in a moves list.
