Grapples are opposed Strength and Base attack Bonus. Irrelevant in this case.
Ideally the mage would have responded that he wanted to take the AoO upon standing up since if he had waited until the grapple he could have stopped the grapple cold.
Granted the format works against this since he'd know what was coming when normally you wouldn't.
I was thinking there would be some way of buying myself a turn, but the best thing that could have happened was that I bought myself a round to daze, run away, and then use my scroll of mage armor, but he's going to grapple away anyway.
I thought you where going to be overwhelmed by the creatures Karog could summon, combined with his and his companions own fighting abilities, but this fight really is neck and neck; and I have no idea who is going to emerge victorious.
Seriously though, you had me worried from round one and to the very end, Legoman. You had a very scary build there, and could probably have taken down any of the others.
I made a tactical error fearing your wolf, I should have hit you with the fear... doesn't matter, you rolled the DC anyway.
Also, I guess the speed of the fingers is as important as the speed of the character . No matter, I had to roll 16's to thwart your grapple anyway, I would have lost eventually.
GG!
Also, another note: You can cast Summon Nature's Ally spells spontaneously, no need to prepare them. You'd probably get more milage out of heal spells, entangle, etc. Though, what nasty 2nd level spells druids have, I can't be sure.
My money is on Raheem for this next match: Mirror image is a solid defensive buff, I'm going to bet he pops that first round, which should buy him a solid two or three turns of unabated summoning. I just don't think the ranger is going to be able to kill those summons, or Raheem, fast enough.
Fortunately for Raheem, I didn't roll insane on the damage. Max damage would be just enough to drop him unconcious, would have made for an easy but boring fight.
Alright, well, before the server went down, we had waited for 2 days for an action on the most recent battle. If there isn't an action posted by Wednesday, we'll default the victory to the last person who posted in the bout and move on.
Infidel, if you're busy, can you just let me know, or if you've lost interest. It doesn't bother me I just don't want to hold up the other contestants.
Well that was somewhat unsatisfying but I'll take it :P, a win is a win.
What exactly is the prize? it says 1k gold and a trinket, not quite sure what the trinket is.
Well, I could offer to start up a new one, but everyone who signs up should be prepared to have about a week of posting when their bout comes up. One person can really ruin the entire tourney.
I hate to say it, because it disqualifies me, but you really should set some sort of minimum requirements for participation with regard to post count / frequency. You could check user profiles... I don't know. Something.
Like that Geo dude who stalled out the last bout... he had 0.03 posts per day. He joined in 2004 and has like 28 posts. I almost never post (dedicated lurker), and even I have twice as many posts per day as him. There's no way he should have been allowed in the tournament.

The thing about it for me is that even though I mostly lurk, the things I do participate in I tend to stick to tell the very end.

Such is life, gg.
Looks like Aadarion ain't going down without a fight!
If I live through this fight, I'll be amazed, but like you said, it's going to be a fight.

Ultimately, it all came down to luck.
Good game.

Well done guys. Cool idea Gred. I should have gotten in on this.

It's fun being a spectator .
/me grabs popcorn.
Looking forward to your post Oreo.
You should probably just send Gredavin a PM.
Lets get the tournament rolling today, Infidel, we're waiting on your action.
Infidel, if you're busy, can you just let me know, or if you've lost interest. It doesn't bother me I just don't want to hold up the other contestants.
Cheers
You've been defaulted forward, Infidel let me know he is too busy right now to keep up. Good luck next round!
Alright, next battle is up!

I can't find it, anyway.
Can I get some idea what Kadek is?
Also, does a Double Move Action qualify as moving faster than base?

But that does sound like a good requirement.
