Yeah, when he said he thought of MSPA I was assuming it was because he was a fan of Problem Sleuth. I was pretty impressed when it was revealed that he went into the coma 3 months before PS even started. Now that is a hardcore fan.
Also, excellent work on this whole crazy story (even though it was all thanks to "YOU," which is ME!).
For a while I thought about a space adventure, and it would be cool, but also too predictable. I'm going in a lightly less genre-driven direction. The nature of the next one will be very different, mostly due to my plans of using Flash rather than GIFs. This means I can theoretically can experiment with interactivity/sound/music.
And if I've learned anything from this, if I theoretically can do something, then I definitely will do it. Probably a lot of it.
Andrew, did you read my weird PS/Douglas Adams/Half Life dream?
I'm the bestest fan here.
I read that and was impressed. But you have a lot of work to do if you want to catch up to coma guy. He's making us all look bad, all lying in bed for years and shit.

Well regardless of what you decide: Can't freakin' wait.
As long as Andrew has the moxie to update and complete storylines reliably as he has done with Problem Sleuth I am going to be an enormous fan of his work.
My biggest fear is that it will sputter out like so many webcomics before it.
Actually... I think I should donate some money to Andrew as thanks. It feels only appropriate to quench the guilt I feel by being entertained so well and for so long free of charge.
edit: Mr. Hussie, please accept my humble donation of 25 SPONDULICKS. I do not request any drawings from you in return, it was compensation for the entirety of Problem Slueth.
Man, that was simply amazing. I came in about half way or so and I have loved every bit of it.
Just outta curiosity, how much time do you put into doing this? Just wondering because you usually put up like 4 or 5 pages a day and that seems like you would have time for nothing else.

Andrew, whatever you do next, needs a soundtrack. Perhaps as the character progresses they can unlock new music by discovering vinyl disks or something.
PROBLEM SLEUTH RADIO:
1. Scotch on the Rocks
2. The Dame in Red
3. Jazz Feelin'
4. Dark as it Gets
5. Fill 'em with Daylight
6. Amerose Slims
7. Compensation Adequate
8. The Hellcat and the Moll
9. Light Me
10. The Longest Goodbye
I'm not at all exaggerating when I say that Problem Sleuth has been my favorite thing on the internet over the past year. Seeing it end fills me with all sorts of ...feelings

Early on, not much since the images were simple and rarely animated. Often 20 minutes per day or less.
Lately... yeah, it got more intense. But I've learned to be pretty economical with animation. Even the complicated ones rarely take more than a couple hours.
But then I sometimes demolish those time savings by posting several in one day. For a lot of these tail-end updates I've been putting in full days.
For the next story, on the music front, I'm still not sure how I'll handle it. But I'm leaning toward a user-input angle. Like post an open invitation for anyone handy with music to join a small private forum or something. Then as a group we will all piece stuff together collaboratively. Like a weird cult.
Are you gonna take a bit of a break first or are you just gonna jump right into the next adventure?
The order I'm thinking is this.
Epilogue. (1 week or so)
Patch up the ends of the other two adventures. Modestly. (1 week or so)
Take some time to do some housekeeping, work on new site code, organize some thoughts on the new adventure, finish up some stray donation commands, etc. (2 weeks or so)
It'll probably be the story as-is, on paper, plus a slew of "bonus content", whatever that winds up being. Maybe extra illustrations, maps, annotations, legends, bogus GameFAQ pages... could be anything really.

I hope he did not go into shock from the magnificence overload.
So what is next Andrew? I recall you mentioning a space adventure before.

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

It begins as a routine space station trip to research some fucking plants or some shit.
Then flesh eating mites escape and people start getting stuffed into ventilation ducts.

ADEQUAWESOME.
THE WORD ADEQUAWESOME:
NOT VERY AWESOME.

But I came up with Sepulchritude
The name, not the actual contents of the attack of course, but still
Surely I deserve an ice cream cone for that!
SUGGEST ME SOMETHING VERY NOIR.

any plans/ideas for printed Problem Sleuth?
Can't wait to see how it ends.
Yeah. Might take a while to get it out though.
Also it might be insanely long. Like 6 or 7 volumes or something, just to get it all in there.
PI could solve this with both arms tied behind his safe.
is it just going to be Problem Sleuth on paper, or are there going to changes/new content?
or do you not really know yet
and long is good, all the books I'll need are the collected Problem Sleuth and the Great Outdoor Fight
