Hey guys, If we ran an un-official, official game of sardines this year, who would be down?

I'd need some clarification. Though, with what I'm hoping to do, I doubt I'd have time. Still, it'd be nice to find out exactly what it is.

Sardines is basically hide and seek. Last year we played on the night of the concerts because we decided that running around...whilst a little drunk.....was more fun.

    Basics:
    One person is "it"
The group decides how long "it" has to hide and how long the round will be.

    Eg. I am it.
I'm given 3 minutes to hide and the round is 20 minutes.

After 3 minutes, the rest of the group tries to find me.....not in groups, it's every man (or woman) for themselves.

When members of the group find me, they simply hide with me.
After 20 minutes, we return to the starting point.

Whoever finds "it" first, is "it" the next round.

Everyone who didn't find "it" sucks. (jkjkjk)

Locked doors are out of bounds and so is asking people for help.

Last year we set boundaries, usually one level of the convention center per round.

    Savvy?

this seems awesome. would it be limited to a section of the convention center? or the entire convention center?

when i say a level per round, it basically literally gives you free reign over that level.

last year, we stayed out of the concert area to allow those people attending to fully enjoy the shows without wondering why a bunch of half cut people were running around with caution tape around their heads.

    and of course locked rooms.

we must respect the convention center....god knows we don't want pax cancelled because of a silly game!

the PC room was basically off limits because you have to sign in and the guys that ran the room didn't want us in there.

it's quite simple - if someone running an event in a room doesn't want you in there, don't go in it.

the classic arcade game room was usually fine and the giant room with the sumo bags was a good location to hide, even though after awhile some of the people lying in there got pissy....i figure it's because they're boring and don't want to have fun.

even though it might seem restricted, no one ever hid in the same place twice.

it's a super rad game and we got to meet a lot of really shradical people...people seem to like us canadians. and after, we had some people up to our hotel room to drink!

All it takes to ruin a good game of sardines is one guy who hasn't showered and/or has been eating bad mexican food.

Yeah, canadians rock :) Both the sardining and the drinking in the room was quite an enjoyable way to spend the early hours of Sunday.

Hell yea, I still have my caution tape from last year. I'll try and get my friends to join in too. We should figure a way to get a hold of each other during the convention to establish when we're starting and when time runs out. Twitter?
