Ugh, why's it called 'mountain dew' when it hasn't actually come from a mountain? Yellow-green? It looks like it'd create some kind of mutant turtle if i dropped it down the sewers...

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how long player corpses hang around? I'm interested for both skeletons after you release and regular corpses if you don't.

I think it's supposed to imply that it's refreshing. It's not, but that was their aim.

The Skeletons I think hang around for a few hours? or something else goes on that removes them
As for bodies they are around till you or that person claims them I remember when one was used as a landmark in the barrens

On 20 April they are going back to cane sugar for a limited time for Pepsi and Moutain Dew it will be interesting

I'm pretty sure it was a programmer tradition, before gaming was even an option.

Both date back to the very early days of Unix stuff. If there was a real programmers culture before that, it's not mentioned very much.

I hope to see more of arugal. Sfk is one of my favorite old world instances. We know the lich king brought arugal back to life, but all we ever see of him in northrend is his shade in grizzly hills =/

The lack of first-hand lore for Obsidian Sanctum has always been poor. Just weird being all buddy-buddy with the Black Dragonflight for the Nexus War, only to go into the basement where this whole alliance is taking place and performing what is essentially mass abortions.

Oh, and it doesn't help that, upon being inquired why you are going there and fighting this dragon, you reply, "Because he's black."

What I want is the Bronze Dragonflight to open up an arena, they can give it some lore explanation. 2v2, you vs a random pair of old enemies.

    Ok question time:

I'm bored of Northrend leveling. I've decided to start leveling one of my many characters through the old world. I have a lvl 30 Mage, and a lvl 16 Hunter i'd like to choose from.

    Which would you recommend?

In the 1800s, "mountain dew" was another term for moonshine. The original advertising campaign was hillbilly-based.

In terms of Icecrown bosses, I would guess:
    1. Death Knight Saurfang Jr.
    2. Tinky Wickwhistle and probably the 3 other combatants you challenge in the same quest as her (she's the evil version of a gnome you saved in Borean Tundra who escapes in Icecrown).
    3. Arugal (unless Blizzard considers that he was actually brought back as a Shade which is also possible)
    4. One of the Darkfallen, probably Prince Theraldis
    5. A Crypt Lord of some kind (if not a ressurected Anub)
    6. An undead giant Vykrul of some kind
    7. Sindragosa
    8. Arthas

I think it has something to do with the banshees betraying the scourge

And the more and more I think about it the less likely it seems to me that Blizzard will actually let players kill Arthas. Its seems more likely that he'll be sealed away or escape only to come back after consuming an old god or something

I hope the Arthas fight is difficult if only because it seems sensible to make it so.

That's the odd part of this 10 / 25 / Hard scale for each instance. It makes sense on Naxx or Ulduar...but...Arthas? There's something about a 10 person Arthas run that seems problematic.

ARTHAS! THE BLOOD OF YOUR FATHER DEMANDS JUSTICE@

Then he will charge at Arthas.

Then Sarufang will punch him in the nose and yell "BLOOD AND THUNDER" and BAM 50000000 nature damage to arthas.

Honestly fighting Arthas should just be you beating back his revived lieutenants one by one (or two by three) as the whose who of WoW Lore goes to town on Arthas.

Seriously, how badass would that be? All the NPCs executing strategems and such, yelling at you to do your job, you fighting off the lieutenants to buy them just enough time.
