I think we shot him with a laser, if I remeber.
He was kinda of a threat.
The demon breathed in, and prepared to destroy. The ground around it collapsed into itself, the sky darkened, flames beginning to flicker in the atmospher. The demon's murderous intent sent a psychic wave of disgust into all those left in the city, and many of them fled in fear. But not all.
Orochi raised his hands to the air, and commenced Gaea's fiery rebirth. But his efforts were interrupted by a blasphemous cry;
"Shoot the bastard!"
Orochi looked down, towards the source of the distraction.
"Humans", it began, "You have failed here. Your planet cries to be rid of you. I am answer -"
And that's when Ralf fired the rocket. It slammed into the demon, tearing glowing flesh from its body, and Orochi collapsed, dead.
Ralf grinned. And then a laser burst from the sky hit Ralf. Ralf did not grin any more.
Stepping out from the shadows, Igniz grinned. Although his minions had been killed, he still remained standing. Soon the Zero Cannon would fire, this city would vanish from the face of the Earth, and the whole world would fear NESTS' power.
This would be the point where I placed my revolver against the back of Igniz's head, and pulled the trigger. His brains exploded out onto the pavement, and his corpse twitched for a few moments before settling to a cold, peaceful stillness.
I blew the smoke away from my weapon, re-holstered it, and turned to leave.
New Southtown was safe, the KoF tournament was at an end, and all the fighters were well on the way to recovery in hospital.
I love this time of year.

After a couple of days I got a guard ability, but it was worded like a suicide guard, so I had no idea it was a normal guard until Burnage told me a few days later.
Let me take this opportunity to apologize to Exarch; just playing the hand I was dealt, you realize. But I would have done this very differently the last couple days had I had any sort of inkling that anyone could actually land a stun on me at this point.

Before going any further, I just want to apologise to the evil factions. The village got absolutely fucking destroyed for the first few days, and I think I may have over-done it in attempting to even the game up. Mainly by basically outing Kuhlmeye and Obbi in the narration, and introducing a good number of extra guards and stuns.
NESTs really should have won, but got fucked over by inactivity. Sorry, guys. ... you didn't know this, but Abysmal Lynx was another vig.
The Orochi team got continually hit by the worst possible situations; jackisreal attacked warban with a stun, which was bus drivered onto Rend, who had a counter, which killed jackisreal before he could have a guard placed on home. That was pretty much the one possible scenario in which jackisreal could have died that night, and it happened. Darian got hit by a weird combination last night, too; Keika stunned him, and Darian countered, killing Keika. But Keika had a counter, which had a hidden mechanic attached to it - although a counter could not counter a counter, if an ability was countered it meant that that ability would go through anyways. Confusing? Yes. Only possible situation in which Darian could have been cock-blocked? Yes.
The Rugal team got hit horribly on the first night; Rend got his powers stolen by Keika, and crimsoncoyote got his powers sealed by Witch Doctor, DBM. Which meant that barring their faction kills, they were defenseless; this got mitigated due to Rend winning a metric fuck-ton of fights, and being upgraded to Omega Rugal (and handily given his counter back).
At the same time, I expected there to be some non-village crossfire in the kills at the start of the game. I mean, damn, dudes. Villagers be dying.
