Zangarmarsh is the best. Very simple route, will also get some adamantite which you'll need even more of. Goes fast with epic flier.

We had a group with two enhancement shammies, a warrior, a pally tank & pally healer, and it took us quite some time to get it down properly

There's an easyish way to bug it.

Get a hunter. Have them pull the boss up the ramp towards the door. Wait till he transforms into a mammoth. Then the hunter feigns death.

The boss will run back to his starting position. Have your tank pick the boss up before he gets there and kill him.

Since the boss is already a mammoth, he won't transform and you'll get the acheivement.

    That doesn't work anymore.

The easiest way to do it is to have an elemental shaman spec for reverb. Under 40% he casts every 5 seconds, so the shaman can just spam earthshock and get all the casts.

A lot of people suggest hellfire, and it makes me scratch my head. You gotta zig zag all over the place to hit nodes, it takes like half an hour to do a full circuit of the map.

I just fly in a a circle around the edge of hellfire and the mountains. Picked up enough feliron in one night to powerlevel my blacksmithing all the the way through that stage. Fly in a circle along the mountains and watch a movie at the same time, best way to do it.

Battle.net accounts (IE Blizzard Store accounts) have gone live most likely due to the SC II beta being activated. In the future, you'll be forced to log into WoW with that account.

Also, for those with iPhones and the like.

Last night I was screwing around with arms spec and decided to join this H-UP pug for a shot at the drake. They told me "hey, we're at Skadi," which was curious but perfect for me.

We literally could not get down the gauntlet the first attempt. Stuff just wasn't dying, and apparently nobody else knew how to use harpoons. After the wipe, I had done 53.3% of the damage at ~486k. The tank was in second with about 180k damage done. Nobody else was higher than 800 dps.

After the second wipe I alt-F4ed as fast as humanly possible. How are people still so bad at this game?

Not to be a debbie downer, but there are people are are bad at the game, and that doesn't mean you get to be a dick.

eh, when I leave a bad pug, I always say why (dps/heal/tank are not getting us anywhere, and I'm not here to farm 70+g of rep bills), but I generally have no hard feelings
Everyone starts out bad, and a char in unenchanted questing blues just can't do that much dps
    But, 800 is seriously shit.

I, and thousands of other people, are also getting disconnected from WoW right now. Its the Comcast Curse again. Your experience with the downloader might just be coincidence, in that whenever your WoW is disconnecting, your downloader is as well.

Yeah this made for an exciting alt/pug Naxx last night. For the entirety of spider wing, very boss was a constant spam of three guildies going offline and trying to log back in. It happened to me on Faerlina about two-thirds through the fight and I couldn't reconnect, but I could log in on my paladin in Shattrath. (I tried her instead of an alt in Dalaran or Org because I figured less people to load in...) Same thing for Maexxna, they went offline almost immediately and I did partway through the boss. It was ridiculous. I wonder why I had better luck than them, though. We're all on Comcast. Eventually it stopped happening but I had 500-1000 ms for awhile too. Good thing it wasn't a real raid/Immortal attempt.

Next time you're doing Skadi you should use the "Reset Method". It makes it really easy for pugs and it pretty much guarantees both achievements.
    Reset Method

Engage Skadi but don't move through the gauntlet. Fight right where Skadi takes off. Have one dps pick up 5 harpoons. Then run out of the room until Skadi resets. Start the fight again and get to the launchers as quick as possible.

Well it's relevant to this particular example, because a lot of the Skadi gauntlet is AEable. And neither the hunter nor the mage broke 900 dps.

You need a MPQ viewer, then you can pull the files out as waves. You could /script them into your macros also, which is accomplished by finding out what the /script path is by using the MPQ viewer. People have posted .txt files with all the paths in them, but I haven't trusted that so I never bothered to grab one. Rapidshare ftl.

Well, downloading a file is always risky if you aren't running with some kind of protection. (even then)
I don't think MPQ viewers are against the TOS though, but I might be wrong. I'm saying that because I saw somebody else say it wasn't, so grain of salt and all.

Well worth the risk if you've played a druid since launch. Though, since WOTLK I don't know if the druid form switch mod even works anymore. I was always too lazy to try and manually swap though. ><

They'd have to turn cat form into one of the Voltron cats and bear form into some ZA-bear-esq mount style for me to even consider working on my druid again. Poor druids. =/

Looking at files will never get you into trouble.. which is what an mpq viewer will do. Inserting changes into the file to give an advantage while playing will most certainly get you in trouble.

I recommend everyone fire up an mpq viewer at some point. There's a lot of neat stuff to poke at in there. I could just be weird though, I love digging through game assets.
