President Baltar works out a plan to deal with the food shortage (Engineering 3 and Politics 1) while Helo uses a number of resources in his escape from Caprica (pending). The fleet uses significantly less food than they would have otherwise.

I choose to scout the crises deck - we've been hitting jump prep so far, let's continue it. Additionally, it would be nice if I can get an XO before the jump, as I have a lot of scouts to get us a good destination.
Admiral Adama, unsatisfied with the scouting report, orders a different course of action to avoid it. Very soon, Saul Tigh has a drastic suggestion regarding the civilian fleet.

Admiral Adama must choose either:
A) -1 morale, and the Admiral receives the President title.
or
-1 population, and the Admiral discards 2 Skill Cards.
Suggestions? I'm leaning towards option A, because I've been checked out by Baltar and proven to be clean, unless it's the very unlikely event that we're both cylons, and at this point, he's still the #1 chance to be a cylon. It would also free up Baltar to spam administration for politics cards if he didn't have to be President, leaving the pilots and chief to do their thing on Galactica.

Sir, I serve at your leisure, and I don't trust the President as far as I can throw him. I'm pretty sure he was masturbating in the research lab while talking to himself, but he is the president. I'll back you on whatever decision you make, and if I need to, I'll help increase the population myself... with the help of Boomer, of course.

Tyrol is gonna have to get me out of Sickbay. Boomer has no leadership. Even knowing that Adama isn't a Cylon, I think it's a bad idea to have someone with both the presidency and the admiralty at the same time. Even if it's not me, someone else should probably be president.
Chief should totally repair Weapons Control, since he can do that and play an XO.

I'm hoping that the Ex-President will take down the Heavy Raider, giving Boomer and Starbuck the time they need to deal with the raiders before we jump... which shouldn't be much longer...

I really think me jumping in Weapons Control right now is a bad move. Chief is already there, there's only a one in four shot of me shooting down the Heavy Raider, and the odds of us getting two Heavy Raider activations before we get two jump preps are--while not zero--heavily weighted in our favor. In any case, the proper place to attack that raider from would be Command, not Weapons Control, and the best time to deal with it would be when the Heavy Raider is right in front of the launch pad, we can XO Adama, and he can take three shots at it.
Honestly, at the moment, we're in good shape. So, I discard Politics 3 - Investigative Committee, move to the Press Room on Colonial One, and activate it.
Tyrol fixes up Weapons Control, re-enabling Galactica to open fire, while Baltar holds a press conference regarding the new Cylon ship. Boomer's recon report returns, but while the crew is looking it over...

Well, I can't do what I wanted to do. I can jump us (which I really don't think is a good idea), get more skill cards, switch the presidency, or attack from Weapons Control or Command. My inclination is to get more skill cards, so I'm not constantly jumping back and forth from Colonial One to Galactica.
Personally, I don't think the current situation warrants jumping now; maybe up the jump track one more, but not now.

The only circumstances I would think a jump now would be at all a good idea would be if someone had a +2 die roll card. Barring that, I'd agree that I trust our pilots to take care of the civvies until we can get another jump prep, but someone has to take that heavy raider down. Launching some more vipers wouldn't be a bad idea, either... as I can fix 'em if they break with no loss of turn.

If we're going to jump at -1, there's no reason to take out the Heavy Raider, since it's totally impossible for it to get on the ship before we have a chance to jump.
I'm just going to play Politics 1 - Consolidate Power and pick up two Leadership, after moving to Administration.

I guess that was my point. If we get good rolls from our pilots, and take down that heavy raider, we may not need to jump at -1; we can wait for an auto-jump. XO on a pilot plus a 4-shots attack card is 4 shots and a move to protect. Twice. (One for each pilot)
