Edit post feature not working.

We've tested this with several people. Every time you try to edit a post you get a message saying "error in deleting post".

I [as a mod] can, however, still edit *other* people's posts, it seems.

    You beat me by about 10 seconds.

    I just killed FF and reloaded my session to see if it was the problem, and your post was here when I got back. :evil:

    Now it seems that the edit button is gone entirely.

    Wait, there it is.

    No edit feature for me is very detrimental. I have to edit my posts at least twice, as per quota.

    In other news, I tried deleting a post, and I got the same "error in deleting post" error... but, the post DID delete, and when I looked at the forum index immediately afterward the "last post by" column in the forum index said "Thu Jan 01, 1970 12:00 am by" next to the monkey den.

    I'm starting to see topics dissapear that I've recently replied to, too. Seems alot like what happend last week, but a bit of flavor added to kick things up a notch.

    Um yeah, I just added a post to this thread, and then deleted it. And the entire thread was gone for a few minutes. And the front page of the forums...well...

    yeah, that "new words" error made me double post in the FF thread in GT..and then i get "can not post sagain so soon" errors trying to push a post through, cause im still in jail...gah...

    no matter what, it does insert the post into the database. i am pretty sure that this error has to do with the searching function...

    Editing is on the whole a pointless exercise, for you can excuse typos and it lets people change the entire basis of their post. For no reason.

    If you get that error it means your post isn't searchable for it hasn't been able to put your words into the giant sexy word crossreference table.

    i think the fact that after getting the "couldnt insert words" error it takes a while for the post to show up is what got me...

    Ok, either im entirly mis-judging me jailed post timer, or i got a "cant add words" error in with the "trying to post too soon" ones, and didnt see it. if this is a double post, then im sorry, and im just going to give up on posting for a while..

    I'm also getting these errors... to make matters worse, I didn't delete a topic and magically it is gone from the E3 forum.

    If you look on the front page it says there are 29 topics in the E3 forum. If you count them, there are only 28. The Official E3 Schedule of events thread is now disappeared! Is there any way to get it back? Because now I can't even start new threads, just post in old ones.

    New error message posting: "Error inserting word matches" or some such. Sigh.

    At least you're stuff is apparently getting posted...every time I try nothing happens. I'll be suprised if this gets through.

    It's funny...I can see my post if I'm in the "post a reply" window...but I cant see it in the main window...argh...
