ctishman, where can you get bawls in Eugene? i've never actively gone looking for it, but have also never seen it around.
The best and cheapest place to get it is at Target. They began regularly stocking Bawls as of January 14th. If you're in the University area, it can be acquired in the form of single cans at the UofO Bookstore.

Have you ever had Manny's Pale Ale by Georgetown Brewing? It's become a very popular local brew and they're the "official" beer of my hashing group so I can probably arrange a keg at a discout though someone else would need to pick it/them up since I don't have a vehicle. They also recently introduced Rocket Red which I found a very enjoyable (duh) red ale.

I think someone needs to make some jungle juice. It's the perfect balance. It looks and tastes like a girly drink, but I've never met anyone too "manly" to drink it. All you need is a clean unused garbage can or bathtub, a buttload of different juices and fruits, and some everclear or vodka. And voila, you're fucked up. A note from experience tho; when the party's drawing to a close and everyones already good and drunk and you still have a good amount of jungle juice left over, it is NOT a good idea to beer bong the J juice to try and finish it off. yeah, or jello shots, they're always a good time.

Actually that's kind of why I love 'em. Georgetown Brewing has been very careful to focus on quality control over growth. For years they were only brewing Manny's Pale and Roger's Pilsner and last year they finally offered Chopper's Red (I mistakenly called it Rocket Red earlier), with a brown ale apparently on the way this spring. I know they used to fill growlers but the website doesn't say anything about that so perhaps they've stopped doing that but they're so nice that I suspect they'd be happy to accomodate growlers at a reasonable price. They also have nice pint glasses with their logos on them for only $2. A must have for your home!
Anyone not wishing to burn from every orifice is more than welcome to join me.
I'm totally in. I don't care what anyone says, I hate beer, rye + coke, gin + tonic, and any other similarly strong alcoholic beverages. I don't drink to get drunk/a buzz, I drink for the taste. Too bad I won't be able to bring any with me.
(Of course, assuming I do go and you'll allow me to join you. Luckily I'll be of age by the time PAX rolls around...For Canada that is. )

As with last year, I can bring some of my local brews with me. I didn't share any of them because I never made it to any after hours parties, but that's going to change this year.
A good range of beers sans a lot of the darker variety.
