And I dub our new drink The 1-Up.

Pick up this rather startling mixture of Bawls and Everclear, and watch as it brings extra life to your evening. You won't just pass out! You'll hemorrhage from your eyeballs first!

ctishman, where can you get bawls in Eugene? i've never actively gone looking for it, but have also never seen it around.

The best and cheapest place to get it is at Target. They began regularly stocking Bawls as of January 14th. If you're in the University area, it can be acquired in the form of single cans at the UofO Bookstore.

Have you ever had Manny's Pale Ale by Georgetown Brewing? It's become a very popular local brew and they're the "official" beer of my hashing group so I can probably arrange a keg at a discout though someone else would need to pick it/them up since I don't have a vehicle. They also recently introduced Rocket Red which I found a very enjoyable (duh) red ale.
Holy shit Manny's. This is my crew's beer of choice, too.

    It's great. Too bad they're tap/keg only.

I think we can strike a happy medium between bleeding eyeballs and limpwristed mixers. Of course, the only way to do this is to drink both.

I think someone needs to make some jungle juice. It's the perfect balance. It looks and tastes like a girly drink, but I've never met anyone too "manly" to drink it. All you need is a clean unused garbage can or bathtub, a buttload of different juices and fruits, and some everclear or vodka. And voila, you're fucked up. A note from experience tho; when the party's drawing to a close and everyones already good and drunk and you still have a good amount of jungle juice left over, it is NOT a good idea to beer bong the J juice to try and finish it off. yeah, or jello shots, they're always a good time.

Actually that's kind of why I love 'em. Georgetown Brewing has been very careful to focus on quality control over growth. For years they were only brewing Manny's Pale and Roger's Pilsner and last year they finally offered Chopper's Red (I mistakenly called it Rocket Red earlier), with a brown ale apparently on the way this spring. I know they used to fill growlers but the website doesn't say anything about that so perhaps they've stopped doing that but they're so nice that I suspect they'd be happy to accomodate growlers at a reasonable price. They also have nice pint glasses with their logos on them for only $2. A must have for your home!

Not a plant, just a loyal customer. :D

He's right (as much as it pains me to say it), real men do straight shots of whiskey. Preferrably 100 proof, 9 year old whiskey. Like Knob Creek, now that's some gooood shit.

Oh snap, is that some Stoli. ::shivers:: Of course, being that Jager is my liquor of choice (aside from beer of course), I don't have much of a leg to stand on. As with last year, I can bring some of my local brews with me. I didn't share any of them because I never made it to any after hours parties, but that's going to change this year.

We have a respectable brewer right here in the asshole that is my home of Marshall, MI called Dark Horse
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1471/

Lots of darker beers that do a good job of getting you shit-housed quickly.

From the land of Kellogg's and Post (the breakfast ceral goons), Battle Creek, MI we have Arcadia
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/454

A good range of beers sans a lot of the darker variety.

And moving further west to the land of Kalamazoo, MI (which musicans love for some reason which I imagine has something to do with Gibson guitars being founded there) we have Bell's.
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/287

You name it, they make something like it. My personal favorite is their weird summer beer Oberon which I'm bringing reguardless if anyone requests it.
