Im looking for a program that will allow people to log into my computer and run an access database from it. It needs to be able to handle multiple users but not many, 4 or 5 tops. Preferably free, anyone know of a program that can do this?

I use it for some excel stuff between family. Works well. Fire and forget. Made by the people at logmein.com

I was looking at that but it seems like it is only a messaging software and they want you to pay for the programs they have that allow file sharing. You can load the excel files off of a central computer with Hamachi?

No, Hamachi makes the VPN, then you just map the file-sharing ports through it, and have your family connect to it as a shared drive.

Though it seems like you honestly aren't 100% sure on what you're asking here.

Hmm I have created the network and shared files and connected to it from another computer but I can't figure out how to view the shared files.

Make sure you have file and printer sharing on, otherwise you will never see any files. Also make sure the directory is shared where these files are located.

tell him to try using the UNC path from a runbox or address bar.

    \\yourcomputername\sharedfoldername\documentname.mdb
