AFAIK, DOSBOX didn't even exist when I tried to run it. I was either trying to run it in actual DOS or Windows 3.11/Windows 95. When did it come out?
I have people coming over tonight and I have to clean the place before they get here, plus rehearse with a scene partner, plus go rent the movies.
Plus, I had a dream last night where I was clearly supposed to get laid by at least one of the hot girls who were being very sensual and suggestive, and then didn't because they all had some reason to leave. In my dream. I can't even fucking get laid in my dreams.

But damn are some of those dungeons just hellish. Especially the ones for the main plotline. Mile after twisted mile of randomly generated 3d labyrinth.
Usually I just get frustrated after an hour or so and use the Voidwalker trick (use one of the many bugs in the game to fall outside the walls of the dungeon, cast levitate before you fall too far and the game crashes, then fly around in the void until you spot the goal of the dungeon)

Daggerfall was a weird sort-of-random kind of game. Because the world is so huge (and it is, far bigger than any other Elder Scrolls game) Bethesda didn't even try and have people actually create it. They made random generation algorithms and then saved the results (eg: fill in this vast swath of nothing with Swamp Generator 2b).
So the dungeons are made of these little segments of sanity (eg: this is obviously a throne room, this is a kitchen etc...) but all jumbled together is a big tangled 3d mess. So you cannot use any kind of reason to get a sense of how a place is laid out. EG: well this looks like an entrance hall so the exist must be near here.... NO! It is 3 miles away in what looks like a torture chamber.
Elder Scrolls is probably the second most interesting universe I'd want to have in a MMO, just to get the chance to explore the whole planet instead of just one island or province (even though you could jump over some mountains and run all over the place in Oblivion, too bad it was just an empty map.

Daggerfall actually covered something like a dozen provinces. Course 99% of the game was just randomly generated wilderness but it was still pretty cool that it was all indeed there.
