See, propogation of The Game relies on each individual to accept that they are actively playing it. If I'm not playing The Game, I will rarely ever mention it to others. At this moment I insist that I am not playing it, so this post is an exception.
So, anyway, there are a number of people who actively play. The stated goal is to avoid thinking of the game. This is a negative. It creates a (minor, facetious) sense of "bad." There is a little (minor, facetious) joy to be had in making others think of The Game, but the thing is you have to lose to "win."
I don't understand at all why anyone would willingly accept this into their lives. I mean, it's fine if they want to, but I just don't get it. It's one more thing you will perpetually fail at, and it offers no rewards. And opting out only requires not playing.
Sure, the stated premise is "if you've heard of it, you are now playing," but c'mon... that's only true if you accept it.
