Still waiting on it to come up, I ended up rolling on Freedom and me and my buddy are currently 24. Cant wait to go again! Playing Battle Forge until server up!
Axe does knockdowns and ups, mace disorients. I prefer axe in that way because a lot of times I don't notice disorients, so just seeing that my secondary effect is working in a knockdown makes me feel better. Also I was pretty sure that mace did more damage, but they're also so close it doesn't really matter. Although Axe is lethal, and mace is smashing, so you'll come across more resists as Axe, which is probably why people say it's a lot less damage, when it's really just more resisted.

edit: oh hey, while I'm posting, is there a particular person I can hit up for SG/VG invites? I realize them being full and people going inactive is an issue, but not being able to use base portals and the crafting tables and such is getting sort of old

I'm getting another one of those 'debug assertion failed' messages as I try to update my game. This has happened before but I forget exactly what I did to solve it. So what should I do?

Those guys are surpisingly tough if you let them hit you a little bit. My blaster was mowing through them on level 2 pretty easily, until I got a pair of LTs that like, chain bubbled and drained me to death.

How has the leveling/solo ability been changed, if it has been.
It hasn't. Well, there are leveling pacts, now, which essentially take all the experience generated by the characters in the pact and divide it evenly between them (even when one is offline).
But speed-wise, things are about the same as ever. They smoothed over some of the leveling curves a while back, but that may have been more than a year ago, and it wasn't very drastic.
Soloing is still a joke. Which is to say that almost anyone can do it, but the rewards are so laughable compared to grouping that it's just not worthwhile.

They are essentially the same, mace has a chance to disorient I think axe lowers defense. I'm also pretty sure mace does less damage.
I guess the numbers are probably a little different, though.

Edit: After talking with other confused folks, it seems we can't see our own capes or trenchcoat tails, but everyone else can.
Edit: And then it magically fixed itself after a short time. Weird.

You may have to delete your CoH folder and do a fresh download
