It makes me sick to think that there are kids out there who do not read for pleasure

No I can understand. There was a long period where I didn't read because I had other hobbies instead/class/work and such and reading just didn't fit in.

What makes me sick are the people that don't even respect it. Don't even consider it.

Like on their MySpace under Books, they'll put "lol who waists there time reading books lol"

i really really like books by bill bryson

like a short history of nearly everything is probably my favourite book

which is why i am trying to read notes from a small island again

but at the same time i am also meaning to read collapse by jared diamond and philosophical investigations by wittgenstein

but i don't really spend much time looking at the words on the pages of any of them

Reading for enjoyment has to be implanted at a young age.. alot of people I know who don't read use the excuse that they can't because thier mind just drifts and its painful for them. This probably comes from not using that part of the brain, or you know, your imagination for any length of time. People who put down reading are complete asshats I agree, but most of the time its just a cowards reaction toward thier own ineptitude.

    As for what I'm Reading?

A Feast for Crows, Book four of A song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. You might have heard of it.

Next im on to either Cell by Stephen King or Shadowmarch by Tad Williams. I might go the King route just for a change of pace, but we'll see.

    like

just reading the first few paragraphs

i just get this huge stupid grin on my face

    and it just stays there

    for the whole book

seriously read like the first few pages on amazon

if you don't crave the book like redeemer craves dicks after that, then you are not human
