I go through zombie phases all the time like that. It doesn't HAVE to be zombies, exactly, sometimes it's enough for it to be that end of the world few against many kind of scenario.
That really is my favorite kind of story.
One of my favorites is impending meteor strike
And, lately, total economic collapse resulting in a Mad Max situation
Grey Ghost, it sounds like your problem was getting into retarded hypothetical discussions and taking the situation one step too far. End result: gay. Too bad for you, I'm still enjoying it!

Mad Max scenarios are awesome, absolutely. Thunderdome situations less so.
Deep Impact and Armageddon sort of ruined meteor strikes for me, but I'm sure it could be done well and I would be all over it again.
I Am Legend started out as the best goddamn movie ever, then around the time the dogs showed up it turned into the worst.
Man, I should finally buy this game and play through it again
I borrowed my friend's copy when I first got my 360 (actually I waited until I had my HDTV as well, having heard about the text problems) and played through it, but was kind of burnt out on by the end. I think I'm ready to go through it again though and find all the stuff I missed the first time.
I absolutely love that when I go through it again I'll have all my levelled up skills from my previous play through, that is a great mechanic for replayability.
but conversations on 'what would you do in a zombie outbreak?!?' kind of tired me out.
I've managed to get my friends to stop having those conversations by telling them how dumb the conversations were the last time they started talking about it.
STALKER is extremely difficult to get into, I reckon, but I have never played a better shooter. It's got a bit of a difficulty hump before you acquire decent stuff and learn the mechanics, but after that it actually gets easier.
What I liked about STALKER was how the world was so immersive that I developed more of a connection with characters who had maybe five or six lines of dialogue than I have with the entire main cast of other games.
I still maintain that STALKER is the best RPG I've ever played, but I understand that this is an opinion most people will not agree with.
I completely agree. The climax of that game is fucking incredible - in fact, in terms of story, gameplay, ambiance and presentation, I ain't never found anything as immersive or awesome as STALKER was. I wish I still had my box from launch, but my crackey friends borrowed it like two and a half years ago, it got passed around, and I haven't seen it since.

Are you still killing zombies if, technically, they are already dead?

zombie nazis - zombies who later make the decision to become nazis

They hate it when you do that.
I tell you though, I don't know which is worse. I mean you can't really choose to be a zombie, but nazi is a choice.
Dirtbike Chainsaw jousting and deathmatch
NO CO OP AT ALL
But yeah if they don't add co-op I am going to wait a week before buying this game just to show how mad I am.
Might shake my fist at the heavens a couple times.
