"Vote Now"

UEAKCrashUEAKCrash hehRegistered User regular
I just found an odd bug. I got it to do it a few times by doing the following:

Making a post, hitting "quote" under that post, hitting back, hitting edit.

The button says "Vote Now" instead of "Save"

I'll take some pictures later on if I can get it to do it again. I've got to work now.

Using Win 7 with Google Chrome.

It's happened for me quite a few times on Safari for iPhone, but I've never been able to replicate it properly.

It just happened to me. I went to go edit a post, and saw "vote now". I clicked it without thinking, and it edited the post with no problem. Just a weird error.

Using (the latest?) version of Google Chrome. Vista.

Just happened to me. Using Google Chrome 3.0.195.24 (I know, I know, I should update) and Win XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP3.

This happens to me all the time and happened before the upgrade as well.

Edit: Trying to get it to happen. It might only happen to posts with the "last edited" message.

Edit: Nope, not sure what causes it then.

Let me see if I can do it again to get a screenshot.

    edit: Nope, not this time.

Maybe it's just a random bug or something.

Sometimes there are three buttons, though, and sometimes there are four. What's really weird is that only the text changes - the actual buttons still function as they should.

Also, from the bug reports thread,

This is in Google Chrome 3.0.195.25 but I've seen it happening in Firefox on the Mac as well. The buttons function as they should, it's just loading the wrong graphics or something. Basically what I did here was posted, edited the post, saved the post, edited the post again, saved it, edited it again and the screen grabs are in the order I did that.

I think I've seen it or similar behaviour in mobile Safari as well. Possibly whilst doing advanced editing or advanced post reply as well.

Oh hey, this happened to me on Chrome late last night. Couldn't replicate it so I figured I was going crazy and it was just time to go to bed.

You know I live a life of danger for the FBI
