Well, soon you'll be able to play two of them, at least.
Sega plans on bringing some of its signature titles from the Dreamcast console to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
The first two games to debut will be Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure, which will arrive this fall.
"The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming," says Haruki Satomi, vice president of digital business at Sega, in a statement. "There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today's digital market place."
The Dreamcast re-releases will feature high-resolution graphics, surround sound, online leaderboards and achievements and trophies.
No word on what other games from the Dreamcast's 650-title library will appear on the download services.
Salmon'd the fishy part that could be misconstrued as mere speculation, per Santa's request.
I never owned a Dreamcast, but everybody here who has goes absolutely nuts about how it should have done better because it had so many fuckawesome games, so maybe I'll get to play some things I might have otherwise missed now!

I've always wanted to try RE: Code Veronica, here's hoping for that. (Not to mention PS2 games on the PSN, Sony is really dragging their feet on that one.)

RE:CV is Capcom's deal.
Crazy Taxi and Sonic are SEGA's. Just sayin'.
RE:CV appearing on the PSN is possible, seeing as RE1, 2 and 3 are all on there. Would love to play that one again.
Ooh. Power Stone.
*edit* Toy Commander. Holy shit. I played that split screen for sooooooooooooooo long.

I'm not saying that RE:CV can't be on XBLA or PSN, only that this is about SEGA owned titles. Not titles that appeared on the Dreamcast.
I think I read very recently that the Dreamcast games would also be put on DD servics for PC, but this announcement doesn't seem to mention anything about that. Maybe I should just install my disc copy of Crazy Taxi.
I had a DC but only played a demo for Skies of Arcadia.
Does this make me a terribawful person?
Considering I didn't even play the demo, I would say no
But others might disagree
I have a feeling they will be here soon to make this known
There was a Gamecube version with extra content. And it's not even that great a game, even as a jRPG. But I wouldn't mind being able to play it on my 360 for $10.
It's funny how we basically already have a Dreamcast game (MvC2 -- I'm pretty sure it was ported from the DC version) but Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure are being billed as the first

I really just want to play Skies of Arcadia again. I could get the game cube version and play it on Wii, but I'd much rather just play it on my 360.

Soul Calibur...
Again, it's SEGA owned games. Not games on the Dreamcast. The linked USA Toady article veers into speculation as fact...

Yeah, I forgot about SC, mostly because I owned SCIV before I even noticed SCI was on XBLA.
Hey, maybe Sega can actually make some of their online-heavy stuff, like Outtrigger or - dare I say it, the original PSO - work properly this time! The days of being shackled to a 56k modem are over! Long live the high-speed internet revolution!!!!
Seriously though, Outtrigger and the original PSO with modern connections and larger player sizes would be awesome. As great as the 'Cast was for introducing online console gaming, looking back, it was pretty painful to play some of those games with such a slow connection speed.

Orta was, wasn't it? Or am I thinking of something else?
Orta was on the Xbox, Dragoon, Dragoon 2, and Saga were on the Saturn.

I could have sworn there was a PD game on Dreamcast but I was definitely wrong
At the time it was excellent, but it hasn't aged well.

...huh. Guess I'll have to look into that.
Oh I'll be fucked if they add in Live to Toy Commander. I love that game!
Virtual On already happened, so much for begging for that while I'm at it.

And I know MDK2 was on Dreamcast
Also Powerstone yes please.

Anyway, stuff I'd like to see?
Shenmue, motherfuckers!
Seaman.
Skies of Arcadia.
My thread is better because I hotlinked pictures and it has marginally more substance
Also I am participating in it
ChuChu Rocket looks interesting to me
Does this make me a terribawful person?
Also,
I got that for free. I forget exactly how.
This news is great!!!

Back then I saw people ending sentences with " lol " and I thought it meant something else.
It wasn't laugh out loud.
That led to some..... interesting conversations.

The best game that nobody ever played.

Me too!
Edit: Holy shit AFO. I have that on my shelf! That was a pretty awesome game.
Is that odd?

And that line speculating about the 650+ title library is pretty dangerous for expectations.
Me, my brother, my sister, and a cousin we babysat would all play that together. I would be on the giant arcade stick.
Done and done!
