[GUH! ON!] Nanaca†Crash!!- Back By Popular Demand

What the hell is this?

Nanaca†Crash!! is a free Flash game, the object of which is to smash into some hapless sap with a bicycle and propel him as far as possible. It’s a formula that’s been done many times over, but this is the most fun and in-depth game of this type that I’ve come across.

What the hell is this from?

It’s a fan-made game using characters from some adult dating sim game called Cross†Channel. No, I don’t know anything about the original game. Nanaca†Crash doesn’t have any nudity in it, but it’s NSFW because you aren’t going to get anything else done if you start playing it.

How the hell do I play it?
Start a new game. Click and hold the mouse button to select the angle of launch, then let go to select the power of the launch. Sometimes when he is airborne, the “AERIAL” marking will change colors to red or blue. This means you can perform an Aerial Crash. The blue Crash is angled downward, and recharges while he flies through the air. The red Crash is angled upwards, and you only get three of those. Sometimes the word “SPECIAL” will appear on the screen when you hit another character. When this happens, you have 0.7 seconds to click the mouse and activate that character’s special move. Which brings us to…

The characters

taichi.png
Taichi
Your (flying) character.

nanaca.png
Nanaca
The star of the show, Nanaca can teleport in and boost your character using the AERIAL CRASH.

misato.png
Misato
Normally she will force you to stop. However, if you're able to activate her SPECIAL, it boosts you with the highest power out of all the characters.

touko.png
Touko
When you hit her, she gives you a boost. Low-altitude type. Power is just a little stronger than Kiri.

kiri.png
Kiri
Her normal boost accelerates you at a 45 degree angle.

youko.png
Youko
When you come into contact with her, she initially does nothing, but the next time you hit a female character, she will block whatever normally happens.

miki.png
Miki
When you hit her, she gives you a boost. Launch type. Power is just a little stronger than Kiri.

hiroshi.png
Sakuraba Hiroshi
Hitting him just changes your angle, it doesn't give you a boost or slow you down. (No special.)

tomoki.png
Tomoki
When you hit him, he slows you down. (No special.)

So let me try it already

The game is available to play and download here. I recommend downloading it so that your records get saved. If you just play it in-browser, they'll be lost when you close the window.

This game is highly addictive.
You have been warned.

Enough people in the "Stupid crap you do when you're bored" thread have talked about this game that I felt it was time to dust this off and repost it.

... This is way to thorough for Nanaca Crash, but I fucking approve of your OP. I'll be back when I get a notable high score.

Oh man I just got some totally weird boost I had never seen before where the chick who normally blocks whatever happens got a special with some other chick and it propelled me along perfectly horizontally for about 45 seconds before boosting me up into the air

I got a new high score

1839.57 is my high score... man this game is a lot more fun now. I never knew that you could use the Aerial specials.... I alsways just depended on a good launch angle.

The Blocker lady generates a random special every interval or so. It's hard to get it, but it's four kinds of specials:

    The super bounce
The flying across the sky like a curve ball
the explosive bounce, triggers when you stop
    something else.

I'm not quite sure the pattern needed for a Youko X special, but they are much, much more powerful than normal specials.

I don't know what causes them either, but they're damn hard to get, since you can't get them with the guys. Stupid fucking Hiroshi.

But Cosmic Force Field Type B led me to this-

    tryagain.jpg

I'd never gotten it before, but it's deliciously broken. Slight bonus for all boosts, plus stop insurance, and it apparently doesn't run out until you hit dumb glasses girl.

Also got to 250 height, but my capture was late...

    I got it:

Youko specials trigger only on the person in the xx9x meter mark.
EDIT: Yellow triggers when the next person is Blue, and vice versa.
Red triggers when the previous bumper is herself.
Gren triggers when the previous bumper is Red, Blue, or Yellow, and you have not bounced on the ground yet.

    I got it:

Yellow triggers when the previous person you bumped into is Blue, and vice versa.

Yellow is activated when blue is the character directly behind her, and vice versa.

It takes a lot of luck and a lot of quick reactions.

My record involved getting two Mistao specials consecutively, and at least three Youko X specials during the course of it all.

You just wait for the right conditions, and when the word "SPECIAL" starts flashing, you just click your mouse button. See the previous posts for what conditions enable what Specials.

Not that it matters but if you want some background on the characters here you go.

Cross Channel (actually spelled CROSS†CHANNEL) is an eroge for the Windows and PlayStation 2 platforms. The Windows version was released on September 26, 2003, and the PS2 version (CROSS†CHANNEL~to all people~) on March 18, 2004.

    Story

Gunjo Gakuen (Deep Blue School) is a facility designed to gather and isolate those students who got a high score on an adaptation exam (Scoring high on this exam indicates that the student is less likely to be able to be adapted to the society) mandated by the government.

After a failed summer vacation with other members of the school's broadcasting club, Taichi and some other club members return to the city, only to find that all living creatures within it except for the club members have completely vanished. In order to confirm the status of the outside world, Taichi decides to gather other club members to help Misato Miyasumi, the president of broadcasting club, who is trying to set up a broadcasting antenna to contact any possible survivors. However, Taichi soon discovers that the world is actually repeating the week after they found the others vanished…

    Main Characters

Taichi Kurosu: the protagonist. He calls himself "Hentai the Great". He was trying to act as a human while hiding his score of 80+ points on the exam, which is almost beyond human boundaries.

Miki Yamanobe: a girl with cheerful character and humble breasts.

Kiri Sakura (Sakura is a family name): a squeamish girl who does not like Taichi, who is always naughty and likes to sexually harass. She is a good friend of Miki.

Misato Miyasumi: a girl with glasses and large breasts. She is the president of the broadcasting club. She scored 30+ on the exam, unusually high.

Touko Kirihara: a girl descended from Samurai. She used to be intimate with Taichi, but currently is very harsh to him. "Kirihara" is an anagram of Harakiri.

Youko Hasekura: a girl Ninja. She's always monitoring Taichi.

Nanaka: a mysterious girl who wears a school uniform different from that of Gunjo Gakuen. Always suddenly appears or disappears in front of Taichi without warning.

    Nanaca Crash!!

Nanaca Crash!! (actually spelled NANACA†CRASH!!) is an online spinoff game featuring characters from Cross Channel. The object of the game is to click, hold and release the mouse button to determine the angle and velocity of Nanaka crashing her bicycle towards Taichi, sending him flying across the screen. Your score is determined by the distance of his flight. Certain characters he crashes into will greatly affect his velocity.

    And now you know.

Nothing says "speed boost" like getting Touko's special three times in a row.

By the way, the note about the guy changing your angle and not affecting your speed is wrong. He slows you down way much. If I hit him early on, I just hit the retry button.

I JUST started playing this game and was feeling good about my 6800 high score. Now I see these scores and I'm just crushed. If I manage to trigger the Green special (girl with glasses) then I probably top 4000. Usually I try a downwards boost to keep up momentum and time it wrong and hit one of the guys. Otherwise I'm stuck around 2000 average. Learning the specials IS the entire game practically.

Version 1.07 adds a secondary meter for direction and speed. It's the "current" verson as far as I can tell.
