I shall run a game. It shall be epic. It may be epic in it's fail or it may be epic in it's awesomeness. Since this game is being run primarily to test out a new idea I had to find it's secondary implications. This means two things:
1) This game may be horribly broken.
I don't think it is, but the chance exists.
2) Not a standard Phalla. If you play it like one I will hate you.
Additionally I will give preferential placement to those who I know who really try and push/break the game. As such it isn't strictly first come first serve....because I am mean.
It shall be Holiday themed in much the same way my games tend to have sad, pathetic attempts at a theme simply to provide the barest of narrative frameworks. It will also be a generally open rule game, meaning the majority of rules will be clearly announced to the thread at large.
To sign up, make a colorful statement about the just past Festive season.
So, what's so special about this game?
....there ain't no Bad Guys, there is just you and me and we just disagree....
More details on what I mean:
The only people with abilities beyond a villager belong to a faction.
There are no "specials" and right now there are no "bad guys". There are two groups with hidden memberships who can not win the game together. Each is just as capable as winning with the village as the other.
Each day we vote to get rid of someone in !red
, make your own choice on who you should be attempting to remove.
Each day we elect somebody to the position of Santa
by using that word in green before their name. Like Santa DA
embodies all that is good about the Holidays (Presents), he may only be one of those who knows the true meaning of the season (Presents). This means a villager
. Any votes for a non-villager to be Santa
will be granted these abilities:
1) Gives the present of mercy, vetoing the vote and dooming the 2nd place finisher. There are no other vote manipulation abilities in this game. So if Santa can count, he can decide who dies to the vote. He must annouce his decision, in lime
, within an hour of vote close.
2) Is given access to a proboard where he may communicate with each faction anonymously. (They will obviously know who he is but he will not know who they are aside from faction name.)
3) To kill Santa
is to DECLARE WAR ON CHRISTMAS!
If any faction does so they no longer may win with the village but receives an additional nightly kill. If Santa
is killed, the position will remain empty for the remainder of the game.
