I read this web comic a long time ago (atleast 4 years ago) and it was a stark black and white horror story that was rather confusing and often was impossible to make sense from. It was, however, consistently unnerving.
I mostly remember that the art was fantastic and one of the early stories was a girl wondering through a train yard/train tracks that was entirely vacant.
I think the guy who wrote it also had a really fucked up side comic about a little girl in a trash can and all the terrible things that happened to her.
Hopefully you can figure out what I'm thinking of, but i can understand this being too vague to help.
I can't link this comic without warning you about the author, though.
The guy who writes this is a dangerous lunatic. Pony has some horror stories about him, they went to the same college and were both in the same anime club until they kicked the guy out for creepy reasons.
Seriously, the guy has a neat trick with his art style, but he is seriously fucked up, his story lines are terrible and his fetish for rape and violence inflicted on young women/children is unsettling.
Was this the guy who kept a notebook of drawings depicting women he knew being violently raped?
Yep.
And then making threats to them when they found out and confronted him.

Damn... i didn't realize the guy was actually that messed up...
I caught the earlier bits of the story I mentioned but walked away confused. I didn't hang around long enough to know what all he was doing on the side...

After reading Maria's Sea and Other Tales, I think I can safely say that his work is creepy enough that I don't think I want to read any more of it. Yeesh.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn

Fictional creepy doesn't bother me too much. But ... drawing people you know in those situations crosses the line a bit for me.

I'll proceed with caution.
